Isley To Represent US in Germany August 25-September 2!



Alexandria, VA amateur middleweight Troy Isley will make his second visit to Germany this year as he will be competing for the United States in the 2017 Elite Men's World Championships in Hamburg August 25-September 2.

Isley won his first international victory in Open Division competition in Halle, Germany at the Chemistry Cup.  Isley advanced to the semifinals of that tournament in March.

Isley punched his ticket to the Elite championships by finishing in the top eight at the Continental Championships in Honduras in June.

Currently, Isley and his US Elite Men's High Performance Squad teammates are in Cologne, Germany attending an acclimation camp.  The US team is making final preparations along with boxers from Brazil, Germany, Hungary, Jordan, Mongolia, The Netherlands and Poland.

Isley is the second Beltway amateur to compete in Germany this month.  Lorenzo Simpson of Baltimore, MD won a silver medal at the Brandenburg Cup in Frankfurt, Germany on August 5th.
