Congratulations to Alexandria, VA's Troy Isley who won his first Open Division international amateur contest on Wednesday at the Chemistry Cup tournament in Halle, Germany. Isley, who is competing as a middleweight, won a split decision over Vladyslav Rolenko of the Ukraine.
Isley will head into the semifinals on Friday when he will battle Max van Der Pas of the Netherlands Isley was a member of the Washington Region team at the 2016 Golden Gloves and won a bout in Ireland in 2013 as part of the Belfast-Beltway Boxing classic.
