BATB has confirmed that the Friday, August 5 bout featuring Malik "Iceman" Hawkins from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA will open the CBS Sports Network telecast that gets underway at 11 PM ET. Hawkins (8-0, seven KO's) will take on Sean Gee of Portland, OR (3-4) in a six-round contest.
We also have learned that another boxer who has moved to Silver Spring, MD from Accra, Ghana will be in the co-feature contest. His name is Ben "Miracle" Odamattey and he will face Skender Halili of Fort Worth, TX by way of Kosovo in a six-round contest. Odamattey (16-14-3, nine KO's) will be trying to break a two-bout losing streak that includes a six-round unanimous decision loss to Wesley Tucker on June 4 in Wellsburg, WVA. Halili (10-1, 10 KO's) has won two in a row after suffering his only defeat in April of 2015. Halili knocked out Jason Thompson in the second round on May 27 in Niagara Falls, NY.
