Undefeated Waldorf, MD super lightweight Mike "Yes, Indeed" Reed returns to action on Saturday, June 11 as he battles Abraham "Bombi" Cordero of Guadalajara, Mexico in an eight-round contest at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Reed (18-0, 10 KO's) is coming off a six-round unanimous decision win over Samuel Amoako on March 18 in Philadelphia, PA. Cordero (13-2-1, seven KO's) won an eight-round split decision over previously undefeated Rafael Guzman on August 1 in Guadalajara. Cordero, a former WBC Silver Lightweight champion, will compete in the United States for the first time in his pro career.
The bout is slated to be shown on Top Rank's website, www.toprank.tv.
