Beltway Pro Boxing Continues Saturday In Springfield!

The "Superb Spring Of Beltway Boxing" continues this Saturday, April 9 when Jeter Promotions brings another card to the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA that will be loaded with local talent.

Some bouts are already official -- Baltimore, MD cruiserweight "Slick" Nick Kisner will be on the card taking on veteran Dan "The Disciple" Shull of Winchester, VA in a six-round contest.  Kisner (15-2-1, six KO's) bounced back from his nationally-televised 10-round unanimous decision loss to Lateef Kayode in May of 2015 by scoring a fourth round TKO over James Jones on March 11 in Weirton, WVA.

Shull (3-30-1, one KO) will be trying to break a 15-bout losing streak.  Shull is no stranger to the Beltway or to Beltway Boxers -- he has fought the likes of Thomas Williams, Jr., Scott Sigmon, Dale Robeson-El and Steve Wheeler and returns to the ABC Sports Complex for the first time since losing a four-round majority decision to Otgonbayer Daivii in January of 2009.

Other local talent scheduled to be on the card include Gerome Quigley (13-0, 12 KO's), Drayvontay Speed Rawls (5-0-1, three KO's), Cobia Breedy (5-0, four KO's), Francisco Bustos (3-0, two KO's), Marq Johns (6-1-1, five KO's) and Yurii Polischuk (8-1-1, two KO's).  Also on the card will be the first Jeter Promotions managerial signee, Stevie Weimer of York, PA (9-0, two KO's) who returns to the ring after an almost three-year absence.

In other bouts already signed for the card, Ian Green of Paterson, NJ looks to bounce back from suffering his first pro loss when he takes on Gundrick "Sho-Gun" King of Tuscaloosa, AL in a six-round middleweight contest.  Green (8-1, six KO's) lost a six-round majority decision to Devaun Lee on January 27 in New York City.  Green makes his third visit to the ABC Sports Complex, scoring knockout victories in his previous two contests.

King (18-16, 11 KO's) has lost eight in a row, but some of those losses have come against quality competition including Yuri Foreman and former world champion Randall Bailey.

Also on the card, undefeated Easton, PA welterweight Arturo Trujillo will be in a six-round contest against Rynell Griffin of New Orleans, LA.  Trujillo (8-0, five KO's) is coming off a second-round TKO over Jeffrey Wright on February 19 in Atlantic City, NJ.  Two of Trujillo's wins have come against Beltway Boxers -- Trujillo won a four-round unanimous decision over Yurii Polischuk in August of 2013 then scored a third-round TKO over Kevin Womack, Jr. in April of 2014. Both bouts were in Bethlehem, PA.

Griffin (7-24-2, two KO's) will be trying to turn his fortunes around after losing by fourth-round TKO to O'Shaquie Foster on January 16 at the ABC Sports Complex.  The loss was Griffin's ninth in a row.
