Hurd-Galarza Bout Becomes ShoBox Main Event November 14 In Las Vegas!

First, the bout was supposed to be a co-feature in Mississippi.  Then the bout was moved to Las Vegas, NV to be a co-feature there. Now comes word that the 10-round contest between undefeated boxers Jarrett Hurd and Frank Galarza will now be the main event of a revamped Showtime ShoBox card on Saturday, November 14 from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

As was reported earlier, WBC Featherweight champion Gary Russell, Jr. was scheduled to defend his title against Oscar Escandon in the original main event on this evening.  However, Russell suffered an injury in training.  Showtime decided to keep the date for what should be a great battle.

This also means that Beltway Boxers will headline ShoBox cards in back-to-back weekends.  As we know, Antoine Douglas is in the main event on tonight's ShoBox card, also from Las Vegas.
