Tiara Brown has advanced to the semifinals of the AIBA Women's World championships in Jeju, South Korea.
Brown, the defending world champion at 125 pounds, is a native of Fort Myers, FL who now lives in the DC area and trains at the Headbangers gym. Brown advanced by winning a 2-1 decision over Wen Ling Chen of Chinese Taipei in the quarterfinals.
Brown competes in the semis on Sunday where she will face Nesthy Petecio of the Philippines.
