Hernandez Harrison Honored By DC City Council!


Undefeated Washington, DC welterweight Dusty Hernandez Harrison was recently honored by the DC City Council in a formal recognition ceremony.

The Council congratulated Harrison on his many accomplishments as a pro boxer including holding the WBC Youth Welterweight title as well as for his contributions to the city in and out of the ring.

Following background and introductions by Ward 7 Councilmember Yvette Alexander, Hernandez Harrison said, “It’s an honor to receive recognition from a City that I love so much.”

Harrison (23-0, 12 KO's) will take on Michael "Cold Blood" Clark of Columbus, OH in the 10-round main event on Saturday, November 1 at DAR Constitution Hall in DC.  Harrison will talk about the card tonight on News Channel 8's Sports Talk at 9 PM ET.

The weigh-in for the card is open to the public and will be held at TKO Burger, 2350 Washington PL in Northeast DC on Friday, October 31.  The event begins at 3:00 PM.

By the way, Tony Jeter and Jimmy Lange will both appear on News Channel 8's Sports Talk on Wednesday, November 5 to talk about their Saturday, November 15 rematch at the George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.
