Two Beltway amateurs are preparing for some international competition in September.
Reigning 114-pound national champion Malik Jackson of DC will be a member of the Men's Elite US Boxing team when they travel to Kielce, Poland for the Leszek Drogosz Memorial Tournament September 15-20. Teams from Europe, Asia and North America will participate.
On the women's side, current 125-pound world champion Tiara Brown of DC by way of Fort Myers, FL will join the US Women's team as they head to Guadalajara, Mexico for the 2014 Women's Continental Championships from September 23-28. The US will face squads from North, Central and South America.
