In a fun bout to open the card, Gabriel Braxton has won a unanimous decision over Rodrigo Gabriel. Braxton dropped Gabriel to one knee midway through the first round.
Neither man showed much defense and both men landed solid shots throughout. The knockdown proved to be the difference as all three judges scored the bout 39-36.
Gabriel suffered his first pro loss and he is 1-1. Braxton scored his first pro win and he is 1-2.
Next up: Tyrone "Showtime" Wright of DC (1-1) takes on the debuting Enrique Vargas of Reading, PA by way of Puerto Rico. Four rounds, lightweights.
