Ballard Wins Ugly Second-Round TKO!

D'Mitrius Ballard scored a rather unconventional technical knockout over Quincy Miner.  Ballard pressured Miner throughout the contest.  In the second round, Miner tried to roughhouse in return and actually tackled Ballard in the process.  However, Miner injured his arm in the process.

It didn't look like referee Sharon Sands took Miner's injury seriously.  Miner gamely tried to fight back but after another clinch where Ballard pushed Miner to the canvas, Miner didn't get back up and the bout was stopped at 2:35 of the second round.

Ballard is now 5-0, four KO's while Miner drops to 3-5.

We will stop blogging at this point as the Showtime Extreme telecast gets ready to start.  By the way, in the feature contest on the Extreme telecast, look for a familiar face in the corner of Michael Clark, who will challenge Sadam Ali for the NABO Welterweight title.  Legendary Baltimore trainer and promoter Jake "The Snake" Smith will be in Clark's corner.

If the two other local bouts take place, we will let you know.  Enjoy the rest of the card, everybody!
