Yorgey Stops Shah In First!

"Lightning" Harry Joe Yorgey scores a first-round TKO over Zain "Tiger" Shah.  Yorgey landed a solid left hand that dropped Shah in the neutral corner.  Yorgey then finished the job at 2:47 of the first.

Yorgey caught Shah with a low blow early in the round.  Shah was able to continue but ran into those heavy shots.  Shah loses for the first time and is now 5-1, one NC, three KO's.  Yorgey is now 25-1-1, 12 KO's.

Thanks for the blog Gary. But could you please provide some round by round updates. I'm out of town on business, and your blog is the next best thing to being there in person!

Thanks. I am also doing blow by blow on the video for the card and just don't have enough time. Sorry about that.

I watched the fight. Zain was winning the round until HJY hit him with a low blow, the ref gave Zain 5 minutes, he only took 5 seconds. It seemed that the low blow threw him off his game plan and got caught with a counter left hook on the rops that dropped him to one knee, he quickly recovered after that flash knock down. 30 seconds later after both fighters exchanged numerous punches, Zain got hit with a Jab and the ref just jumped in and stopped it prematurely, clearly Zain was not hurt. Apparently there was an agenda that night, for Zain to lose and Jimmy Lange to win and eventually fight HJY, but Jimmy lost and so did the promoters plan. Boxing is a dirty game and so are the refs.
