Day Two Of National PAL's A Tough One for Beltway Amateurs!

The second day of competition at the National PAL Boxing Tournament in Toledo, OH was a rough one for local boxers, but there were still a number of quality victories.

Fort Washington, MD's Marquis Moore won a 27-10 decision over Jermaine Howlett of Chicago, IL in the Open Male 165 pound division.  Moore is the 2012 Armed Forces champion.

Also in open competition, Antwan Robinson of Baltimore won a 17-14 decision over Kevin Ford of St. Louis, MO at 123 pounds.  However, Gary Antonio Russell of Capitol Heights, MD lost in the same weight class by a 14-10 decision to Emmanuel Folly of Philadelphia, PA.

In the Open 141-pound division, Montell Prudgett of Baltimore lost by RSC-3 to Evander Lamourt of Tampa, FL.  At 152 pounds, Kareem Martin of Clinton, MD lost by tiebreaker 15-15 (52-50 in punch count) to Samuel Valentin of Land O'Lakes, FL while Shawn Woodford of Salisbury, MD lost by RSC-3 to William Hill of Detroit, MI.

In the Open 165-pound class, Demond Nicholson of Laurel, MD lost a 9-5 decision to Christopher Galeano of the Bronx, NY.

In intermediate action, Jason Bell of District Heights, MD won his bout in the 15-16 year old/165 pound class by a 17-3 score over Raquil Hayes of Warminster, PA.  In the Junior Division, Lorenzo Simpson of Baltimore won his bout in the 11-12, 110 pound division by a 9-4 score over Chavon Davis of Mansfield, OH.  Juan Jenkins of Baltimore lost by tiebreaker 8-8 (22-21) to Davis Paris of Rochester, NY.

grew up with my grandma-she wouldnt let me box-i took karate instead. i now have a green belt and can kick 6ft in the air-pretty impresive since i weigh 237 lbs-boxing is cool though-just not as exciting a karate-we are very loud and powerful sport-i can crack a guys nuts in half with one round house karate kick-the fight would be over in seconds-i like to fight a boxer one time in my life-i use karate rules and he uses boxer rules-lets get ready to rumble-i'll crack your nuts faster than you can say aee yee!-i also have studied moves from a chinesse master name sung lee in fairfax va-i really doubt that there is a boxer who can hang with me-i dont have a good jab-but i can kick like a mule high on pcp-ive been told that im the best kicker that ever stepped foot in jhonn ree's karatee studio-a guy tried to take my aunts purse one time in leesburg-i caught him within 35 feet-and yes he tasted my foot after i threw around the world half step flying squirrel back kick. it was the end of his purse snatching days-i found out later that he was an exc boxer from alex va. i think i will get a jacket made up that syays the nut cracker. that will def keep people from trying anything with me-i also have begun to wear steel toe boots so you can just imagine the force behind one of my kicks. i am a dangerous dude-i can throw darts pretty damn good too-i won several games in joe's bar in 2009-i should be paid to do body guard work for the 2013 olympic boxing team-nobody would mess with them while in my care-i can run steps better than rocky balboa-i been doing that since i was 7 years old-you can ask my neighbors-i can also make a weapon out of a note-book-for real-im a expertise in protection-if you ever see a bad guy-call me-i will split his nut sack like i chop wood.

I like your little paragraph buddy. You should turn it into a poem but boxing and karate are two different sports. A boxer would beat any other athlete in a boxing match if they both have the same level of talent. Go pick on a MMA guy my friend.
