Harrison Vs. Jackson -- In Its Entirety!

Some good debate on the previous post concerning the main event at Saturday night's Keystone Boxing card at the Washington Convention Center.  This video may solve the debate -- or maybe not.

Through the watchful -- and unedited -- camera of Juan Marshall of ProAm Fight Talk, here is the entire bout between Dusty Harrison and Marques Jackson.  Judge for yourself.

no question the young one, dusty won the first 5 rounds clearly, last round he caught with a clean rt hand to the temple. must admit, dusty acted like a veteran, held on, got himself together and won the last part of the round. i still think they are moving the kid too fast, hes only 18, what the hell is the hurry. they need to take it easy, he is still a kid. yes he won, but that one hard shot can take its toll at such a young age. fight every 3 months until hes atleast 21.

He def won! He needs no time off. He's been doing this since was 8 years old. I remember him from 10 years ago in Mayors Cup. He chose this sport, let him do it as much as he wants.

Dusty won each of the 1st five rounds and showed poise in getting himself together and getting the win. Most experienced welter weights would have been knocked out under the same circumstances. Such actions are normally associated with champions and Dusty may have a strong shot down the road.

You Harrisson supporters are the ones saying He won the first five rounds. YOU ARE WRONG.
Just because his father got in the camera and said he won the first five rounds doesn't make it so.Shots to the forearms and the back of the head are not supposed to be a scoring blows.I will say he landed three clean left hooks during the bout but they had absolutley no affect on Jackson.
once again they had Joe Cooper in the ring for insurance. He is without a doubt the guy you want when the fix is in.He threatened Jackson pushed him back and intimidated him throughout the bout. How about when harrisson was hurt and he was tying up Jackson in the corner and Cooper let him hang on forever.Without a doubt the worst Ref in the Busniess.
Some of the other fights were semi competative which is a big improvment from the previous shows.
This is a good thing as people were talking about the garbage used for opponets.
What corner did they get those ring girls from. They had enough celulite to put in a drum and float accross the ocean. HOGZ
The boy from Va got Parkers ass.
The guy Harrisson fought is by no means a puncher so whats going to happen when he crosses the path of somebody with some real firepower?
The sadest thing about the Harrisson VS Jackson fight is Dusty knows he got that ass beat and Jackson knows that he beat Harrissons ass and Jackson got no respect after the fight.
I expect the Harrisson followers who use this blog to come on here and flog me for what I've said.
You are like him and his father .
LOSERS

Actually, no one will flog you tough guy. No one will even respond to you because its obvious you have an agenda. You are only here to poison this thread with your negativity because you are jealous of the Harrison's and Keystone. People who disagree with you are losers? Are you 12-years old? Get a f'ing life.

Do the math dummy.
59-55 means he won all 5 and the round was 9-9. other two judges had it 58-55 wich means he was all rounds except for 6th round wich was scored 10-8. I failed math every year but I aint that dumb. Stop making a fool of yourself. Even though I failed math I seen 100's of fans cheering, so I don't think their camp cares how you feel. LMAO

Actually, the correct math for 59-55 score is not a 9-9 round. It's 5 rounds for Dusty with 10 pts, and one 9 pt round, with 55 pts. representing 5 rounds of 9 pts, and 1 10 point round. No 9-9 round.

what you don't seem to understand is I don't care what the bought off officials say ,I say he didn't win all five rounds.
Effective blows landed(dummy)and thats legal blows not blows behimd the head.
It's a means nothing discussion so lets end it right now.
I will leave you with YO MAMMA.

Dusty is a great fighter and took care of bussiness. Keep it up! I will have to agree with the one comment, Joe Cooper is a bad ref and not good for the sport of boxing. Both boxers work too hard and sacrifice their body. It clear that Joe is not fair and lean towards the beltway fighter. Sorry Joe, you really should watch yourself on tape and try to fix it. Over Dusty is going to be a fine boxer.

I was at the fight and I saw it 57-56 for Harrison.

No body on this blog really gives a fuck about Dusty or any other fighter for that matter.Your all a bunch of dingleberrys who stick to underwear. When the kid loses a couple fights you will be looking at the guy beside you and saying I told you that Harrisson kid couldn't fight.Your all are a bunch of fair weather fans.
So stop acting like your in it for the long hall.

Good fight, Harrison learned alot from a fight like this. Jackson came to fight and did just that. Judges score were about where they should have been.

jackson landed a right hand at about 27:52 of video that stunned Dusty. Then he landed the big shot a little while later. If he knew how to finish, it was a wrap. But give Dusty credit, he hung on and closed strong. Very athletic fighter young Dusty.

^^^^ Really all that on the internet?? The fact of the matter is Dusty Won the fight and did good he held on til the police came like a great pro does and came back in the end . He dominated the first five no questions so thats it and thats all.

Dusty has glass jaw

Anonymous said...

I think thats the first time he's been hit as a pro isn't it?

Anonymous said...

Yes, glass jaw

Dusty very depressed about that knock down. He's not training. His camp is worried. You have to bounce back from things like that even if you're lnocked down the first time you're hit. It doesn't necessarily mean you can't take a pro punch although some may believe so.

You gots problems when you being schooled by DayDay in the gym. Don't believe the hype machine engineered by his old man and Fly'n Brian. Gary is involved to on the periphery. Just trying to line their pockets with your money.

My family members said the same exact thing, but if that's the case, Dusty should be an actor instead. His camp should be the movie directors. Either way, we got our money worth. WTF

Dusty got knocked down in sparring leading up to last fight 5 times out of blue with head gear on. He don't have he chin for this.

dehavi59I can't believe the hate I hear on this blog about Dusty Harrison. First and foremost, he is doing it, not talking about it. Second, he is only 19 years old. He has yet to develope into a man, but when he does, he will carry more power, have more confidence in the ring, and be more skilled. Most fighters at 19 are still in the amature ranks. I think they should put him in there with pros that can't hurt him, but can give him some rounds. And I think they should do that for the next 3-years. There is no rush. I just hope they don't put him in there with killers too soon (they can put him in with killers in the gym, thats fine). There is nothing worse for a fighter than to lose his confidence, and nothing takes confidence away like KO losses. I think if they bring him up right, fighting live opponents along the way, he could turn into a great pro. He may not win the WBC belt, but I could see him winning some type regional belt in 5-years+.

Mr Williams you are now allowing people to use your Blog to threaten people just because they don't agree with them. I have seen you delete alot of things why are you allowing someone to threaten Casandra white. She has a right to her opinion.
Are you part of the Thug life Too?

The main reason is because I actually DON'T BELIEVE Cassandra is doing it. I know Cassandra well enough to know that she doesn't talk that way and she would have no reason to threaten anyone.

In essence, I am ignoring it because if I respond to everything of that nature, I wouldn't have time to do what I need to do with this blog.

When they realize that no one cares, we can move on. If Cassandra would have any issues, she would come to me directly as she has in the past.

Respect for the young dude, he has talent. but that disrespect he was doing early on in the ring sticking his tongue out to their coaches, for what? then doing it to the fighter when ur clearly already beatin him every round?? I had dusty winning every round but the last. I hope that knockdown put some humility in him cuz he needs to be a lil more humble, he still has a long way to go. But arrogance will get that cut short. I'm sure his father understands what I'm saying.. still wish u the best
