Beltway Amateurs Off to Ominous Start on Day 2 of Junior Olympic Championships!

In the first bout for a Beltway amateur on the second day of competition at the Junior Olympic National Championships at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, AL, Cheverly, MD 114-pounder Francois Scarboro suffers the first loss for a Beltway Boxer.  Scarboro lost by third-round disqualification to Da'Reece Crawford of Kansas City, MO.

Scarboro lost numerous points during the bout and the bout was very rough -- at one time flipping Crawford over his back in a tangle. Both boxers hit the floor as they tangled numerous times.

The Junior Olympics are streamed live on USABoxing.org. You can pay 9.99 for one day or 18.99 for the entire week.  The price also includes downloads of the bouts you may have missed.  I'm watching the stream throughout the day and hope to keep you updated throughout on the progress of local boxers.
