Mobley Scores First-Round KO in Indiana!

Upper Marlboro, MD heavyweight Duane Mobley scored his first pro knockout this past Saturday, April 21 when he stopped Francois "The Hulk" Russell of Chicago, IL at the Rising Sun Casino in Rising Sun, IN.  Mobley knocked out Russell in 2:27 of the first round.

According to Boxrec.com, the bout was scheduled for six rounds, an interesting fact since it was just Mobley's second pro fight and Russell's third.  Mobley is now 2-0, one KO while Russell is 0-3.  Mobley was originally slated to be on the May 12th card at the Washington Convention Center but he is off that card and is slated to compete on the June 23 card at the George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.  That's where Mobley made his pro debut, winning a four-round unanimous decision over Dennis Benson on February 11.
