Harrison, Barnett Headline DC Convention Center Card on Saturday, March 10!

The Keystone Boxing card slated for Saturday, March 10 at the Washington Convention Center in DC is just about together and there are eight bouts slated for the card.

Undefeated DC welterweight "The Beltway Boricua" Dusty Harrison is one of the headliners on the card. The 17-year-old will face veteran Booker T. Mullins of Spartanburg, SC in a four-round contest. Harrison (3-0, one KO) fought his last bout at the Convention Center and scored his first pro knockout when he stopped Terrell Davis in the first round. Mullins (3-10, two KO's) last fought in 2010 when he was knocked out in the first round by Perry Ballard in November 2010 in Fairfax, VA.

The co-feature bout marks the return of DC lightweight Ty Barnett, who has not fought in the Beltway region since he fought two bouts in Salisbury, MD in 2010. This will also be just the third time in Barnett's pro career that he has battled in DC and his first since 2007. Barnett (18-2-1, 12 KO's) has lost two of his last four--both by knockout. This includes his last bout -- a third-round KO by undefeated Andrey Klimov on May 14 in Carson, CA.

Barnett will be in an eight-round contest against veteran Damon Antoine of Akron, OH. Antoine (9-34-2, four KO's) lost an eight-round contest to Andrew Farmer on February 18 in Winchester, VA.

In other bouts on the card, DC junior middleweight Ivan Ziglar will face Allen "Pitbull" Perkins of Frederick, MD. Ziglar (4-2-1, one KO) has won three straight. Perkins (1-5) is looking to break a five-bout losing streak.

In a women's bout, Kaelan Hollon of DC will take on Kasondra Hardnett of Columbus, OH in a four-round contest. Hollon (1-0) won her pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Yolanda Bellamy of Raleigh, NC on November 12 at Howard University's Crampton Auditorium in DC. Hardnett (1-3) broke a three-bout losing streak with a four-round unanimous decision over Monique Lacy on November 3 in Cockeysville, MD.

Temple Hills, MD cruiserweight Zakki Scott will have an interesting four-round bout as he faces DC's Andre Ward. Scott also won his pro debut on the November 12 card and scored a first-round TKO of Judidas Williams. Ward appeared on that November 12 card as well, winning a second-round TKO over Joshua Nelson.

Two Beltway Boxers will make their pro debuts on this card. Super featherweight Renaldo Gaines of District Heights, MD will battle Warren Huffman of Milwaukee, WI (0-6) and Josh Rupard of Charlotte Hall, MD will face Mike Arnold of Akron, OH (0-4).

Landover, MD heavyweight Abodurin "Big Bo" Akinyanju (4-2, three KO's) is also slated to be on this card but promoters are looking for another opponent since the first one was knocked out on a card in Philadelphia, PA this past weekend.

you can't be serious.
Dusty against Booker mullins and you call this one of the headliners.
Dusty can fight a little so this is really playing way to safe.
Nobody should call this a main event

Barnett isn't in any trouble but Antoine can make interesting at times.Saw the fight with the Farmer kid and Antoine was in trouble a few times but Farmer just didn't put the hurting pressure on him.

Keep on Hatin! Barnett and Harrison are probably so upset that you feel that way. LMAO The funny thing is that you purchased a ticket and they appreciate your support.

Come on Man! Dusty Harrison vs. Booker T. Mullins???? Booker Mullins would be the underdog in a bout against Jay Watts! Harrison can fight. He doesn't need any super tough fights at 17 but come on man, this fight goes 30 seconds if you're lucky and Dusty gains zero because of the fight except a 1st round KO and a W. Come on Man!

He's 17, 140 with 3 bouts under his belt. Who should he fight?

Booker Mullins? Perry Ballard knocked him out three times.

I think he has picked the right guy for his fourth fight, but jumping from a 4 rounder to an 8 rounder is what I question. I actually thought there was a rule in place that requires one to fight a few 6 rounders before going to 8. From what I gather he's only 17, therefore, what is the rush? Who is he signed with?

He is signed with Golden Boy Promotions and they are obviously paying both ends. The good thing the kid is that he gets much more money for an 8 rounder vs a 4 or 6. Regardless of what round the fight ends in.

Sickening to see this going on.
Barnett has a fight Harrison has a body to beat on.These things happen in boxing but you ought to be ashamed to call it a headliner.

Dear Feather Dust, having a low testosterone level can affect your energy level and your mood. Most men who have low testosterone also report having a diminished sex drive and trouble getting and maintaining an erection, also called erectile dysfunction. Low testosterone is a common condition that's often overlooked because its symptoms are similar to those of many other health issues. Despite the impact that it can have on their lives and sexual relationships, most men with low testosterone are not getting treated.

"Studies have suggested that 2 million to 13 million men in the United States have low testosterone, with increasing age as the primary risk factor," says David Fenig, MD, associate director of male fertility and sexuality at Chesapeake Urology in Baltimore, Md. "Decreased energy, loss of sex drive, or libido, and erectile dysfunction are the three most common symptoms of low testosterone."

The Impact of Low Testosterone on Your Sex Life

"Testosterone is essential to sexual function, through effects on both the brain and sexual organs. Studies demonstrate a reduction in frequency, amplitude [size], and rigidity of erection in men with low testosterone. Testosterone also affects energy level, which may contribute to a decreased interest in sex," says Dr. Fenig.

Many men with type 2 diabetes also have symptoms of low testosterone, and yet a survey released by the American Diabetes Association found that many men with low testosterone and erectile dysfunction were unaware that they had a treatable condition and felt frustrated, but had not talked about the issue with their doctors or sexual partners.

Washington DC based Dusty Harrison originally planned on having a background role in the music industry. That dream died when when Thugz and Beyond took over RCA records.

women get more jealous of the woman they look at than the ones you do. So even if your eyes don't catch some stunner passing by, she'll assume you did -- and bitch about it.

She'll likely assume, in fact, that you're attracted to every living thing with two breasts and try to limit your exposure to them. This does not exclude attractive women on TV and movies, even if they're out of reach or entirely fictional.

No matter what you do, people are always going to be insecure about themselves, and will project that onto you in the form of jealousy, resentment, hatred, whatever. It’s what people do. Nothing you can change about yourself, your life, or your hard work and success will change the other person’s mind and heart. If a girl friend is jealous of you because you know how to save money to get the things you want, but she is stuck on the morning latte factor, and lotto tickets and smokes she just “has” to have, she’ll never be able to understand how to save money like you. That makes her feel stupid, which makes her buy more junk to make herself feel better, which makes her have less money, which makes her more jealous. She can’t figure out that if she just quit smoking and exercised, she’d look, feel, and be better off. Her mind just can’t understand it. That’s just how she’s made. You can’t make her understand any more than she’s willing to understand in her own power.

lol!!! half the comments are crazy and nothing to do with boxing,( errectile disfunction, jealous girlfriends,etc...) these comments should be deleted.for those complaining, simply dont go.

CRW said...

I agree with Miss Jacobs that you should just stop complaining and don't go. Why are you so concerned about this show in the first place. There's no need to lose sleep over this. Nearby Atlantic City NJ, has a show coming up soon that you might enjoy.

she is concerned over the 17 year old youngster, not the show.
