Baltimore-based 112-pounder Tyrieshia Douglas has informed us through the Washington Post that she plans to turn professional in the very near future.

Douglas, who is from DC, told the Post's Amy Shipley that she does not want to wait another four years "for the politics and all the other stuff."

Wow, Tyrieshia makes some pretty serious allegations about fight fixing in the Olympic trials, without much to back it up. I wonder what she'll come up with the first time she loses as a pro.

Sounds like a sore loser.. Show some class. That girl beat Tyrieshia several times before the Trials, so why is this a issue now?

You had a very good run so be proud of that and give credit where credit is do.

She must be taking PR lessons from Amir Khan & Golden Boy Productions!

Did ya'll watch the fight? They credited her landing only 3 punches in the last round... I'm not saying she won, but she CERTAINLY did not lose 37-14.
