MaxBoxing's Kohut Asks: "Is Seth Mitchell the Next Great American Heavyweight?

My good friend Alec Kohut of MaxBoxing.com has put together a nice 20-minute documentary about undefeated Brandywine, MD heavyweight Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell.

The video profiles Mitchell the boxer and the man as it asks whether Mitchell is the next great American heavyweight. Keep watching and you can also see how Kohut manages to bring Herman Cain and Beavis and Butthead into the discussion.

Here's the video:

sounds like a fine young man. hes got to be patient tonight and dont get frustrated. I dont think he can hurt ibragimov because tony thompson never hurt him. tony beat him easily but i dont think seth has tony's power. seth can and should win but hes got to be patient. if he goes crazy and tries to get ibragimov out of there early, seth is going to get knocked out late. if he is patient and works he should win fairly easily or even by late ko.

i just reviewed Seth's boxrec. Very underwhelming list of opponents. kind of looks like a rob calloway or terry smith type of record full of guys with no chance to win.

Ibragimov is definitely a huge step up in class for Seth. And he's fought Jean Marc Mormeck (Lost by split decision). Oliver McCall (Win). Timo Hoffman (Win). Tony Thompson (Lost) Calvin Brock (lost) and Kevin Johnson (draw).

I'd have to go with the experience of Ibragimov in this one.

Maybe if Seth had fought a few tougher guys. His best win is over Derek Brown and it was impressive to stop him in the first because he is a decent fighter at one time but had lost 3 in a row prior to Mitchell with the most recent fight being stopped in the second.

Should be interesting but I would lean toward Ibragimov.

when will people learn that these eastern europeans are to much for these americans at heavyweight??? theyve been kicking are asses in the amatuers ever since the beginning of time, then as soon as the soviet wall goes down within 20 years of exploring and having some pro experience there kicking are asses again.....makes u wonder what would have heppen if that wall would have been down another 2 years before it was down...they would be dominating now like they will be in the next 20 years.....right now is bad, wait in the next 20 years!!!!
