Hats off to Tony Bell for hosting the weigh in!! Please learn boxing !!! Usually boxers are trying to make weight at weigh ins, so they're pretty worn out and hungry. Grilling hot dogs at the weigh in might not be the smartest thing to do. Shutting down for the day might help so the official business might take place smoother. Not an amateur event!! Just a thought!!

The promoter is highly upset with Thomas Snow over ticket sales. While I was ear hustling last night, I realize that Thomas Snow will only win if he KO's Da Luz. This will only damage boxing. Thomas Snow should be treated fairly. This sounds like a bad decision in the making. Furthermore, why is Da Luz getting a purse of $3,500 when Thomas Snow is clearly the better and more known fighter. Why do promoters have such a large influence on the judges? Knowing all of this, who could blame Thomas for pulling out and telling them to go F%&*# themselves??? This type of behavior from the top is uncalled for.

Do not bite the hand that feeds you!

Brian, at the local level the opponent usually gets paid more

$3,500 plus an extra $750 if he wins. That just ain't right. Thomas Snow is going to knock him out anyway. He is fully aware to what is going on and will not leave this fight in the judge's hands.

sorry folks but DaLuz is getting the same purse as Snow. Feel free to check the commission records.

knockout??? Snow will be lucky with a decision win over Daluz! Snow hasnt fought 1/2 the competition as Daluz. Yes he has 30somethin losses but look who he lost to. He's won against competition far better than Snow. Bad choice of opponent in Daluz.

Snow is maybe the more known fighter in DC area, because he lives here. Daluz is alot more well known in the boxing community than someone like Snow who only fights tzxi cab drivers, sorry.

At the local level, the opponent would only get paid more if the hometown fighter was not doing his part to help the promoter sell the show.

If Snow does knock out DaLuz, it will be something only four other people have done in 53 fights.

You may remember when DaLuz fought Clarence Vinson twice in 2007 and 2009. Both fights were in DC (Howard University in 2007 and the Convention Center in 2009). Vinson won them both but won a unanimous decision in 2007 and a majority decision in 2009.

Don't be surprised if DaLuz gives Snow some rounds.
