This kid dont have it.

Gary Digital Williams said...

Why do you say that after just one pro fight? What doesn't he have?

Anonymous said...

Anyone who know Boxing Knows the Kidd has it and then some but there will always be haters in the world so keep hating it only fuels the fire inside CHUMP!!!

I agree with Gary that you are quick to judge this young man.
you are probobly just some jealous
prick who doesn't want anybody else to do well because you can't
accomplish anything in life yourself.
signed
Louden Wainright the fourth.

Not tough enough. Will wilt when he meets a man near his equal. Doesn't know how to hold on when he is out on his feet like Fernando. His team is bringing him along too fast and the coaches are in over their heads. To be the best you have to work with the best. Not a hater here just facts.

I agree with this guy. Many times family can't take you up high.

Anonymous said...

So if "FAMILY" can't take you High enough what have the Mayweather family been doing all this time! I think you just wanted to see what your comment would look like there is a preview button you know?

In fact I Have video of the KIdd Out Working and out Classing Demarcus"Chop Chop"Corley you do know who that is don't you and Chop has fought the best and was at one point one of the best!!!

Dusty, I have to take my hate off I thought you looked extremely good. However, there will always be hater whether you are doing or bad. The funny thing is that you need hater too! Listen to your team & the sky will be the limit.God Bless!!

The Peterson's were so correct. You guys in Washington DC go against all your home-town boxers. Then you wonder why shows fail and boxers choose to fight elsewhere. Lamaont and Anthony will never box here again. Gary Russell chooses to build a fan base in California. (Nokia Club) Baltimore just 34 miles away does not have any boxers on Washington DC's level. However, they sell out every damn show regardless of who is on there. None of us know what the future holds for the kid, but we all know from past experiance that he would be a hard sell in Washington DC. They had to actually give tickets away the last time the Peterson's boxed there. From the articles and the recording of the fight, the crowd is very pleased in Tennesee. Perhaps he should just stay there.

Harrisons ain't no Mayweathers. Come on, we all know that. The man got some good points.

The Chop comment is outlandish.

Anonymous said...

You guys invite all this with comments like the Chop Chop one. I never was over the top impressed with the child. There are others the same age and weight in the area thatbare better. The child have everything handed to him. Not hungry enough. Not a grinder. Not good when he gets hurt. Biggest thing is he slap punches like Cujo. Mr Harrison, don't get ahead of yourself. Need to work fundamentals more. Needs some old school for sure.

Why he not go Olympics route?

Anonymous said...

Corley comment not true and writer needs to have some respect for boxing elders. This kind of stuff makes a pr nightmare for dusty. Everyone be patient.

Gary Digital Williams said...

Having actually seen Dusty spar with Chop-Chop up close, outclassed is too strong a word, in my opinion. But Dusty did hold his own in those sessions and has used the experience of sparring with boxers like Corley to his advantage.

Chop dropped Bayan Jargal in the gym with big gloves and head gear
but he didn't drop this kid.

Dusty team like to spew stuff. Grow up.

Gary first off I think Dusty's style is better suited for the pro game he has power and effecient but not going to be one who is looking to outpoint.

I have been going back and looking at old articles and i want your opinion. In order who are the...

1. Top ten boxers to come out of the DMV area (based on success in the ring)

2. Top ten boxers to come out of the area (regardless of success in the ring). Meaning who going in as a pro did not fight to their capablities.

3. Top ten of guys who are currently boxing

I am interested in your response.

Haters man!! haha!! There's ALWAYS gonna be supporters and opposers to everyone and everything, so it no big deal, haha! Just keep doin your thing Dusty! Mayweather's had haters since he was a debut...now look at him, haha, he could buy all his haters and make them his slaves, haha

The last comment sounds like a rascist comment

Anonymous said...

Anyone who thinks he knows how a 16 year old kid is going to turn out as a boxer is a fool

Anonymous said...

Uh, oh, it looks like Gary is in the back pocket of the Harrisons. That's unfortunate.

Brian said...

Gary supports all DC,MD, and VA fighters.

Gary Digital Williams said...

Thank you for saying it for me, Brian!!

Anonymous said...

Sparring and fighting r 2 different things.

Anonymous said...

This is an interesting debate.
Both sides have a valid point but based on this boys track record and the support he's getting I think he has a pretty good start.
Your right in saying the gym is not the fight but this young man I believe has what it takes wherever he straps the leather on.

Just looked at the video. Not that impressed.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't even have come close to getting on the Olympic team.

Dusty needs remedial work on fundamentals. Keeps his hands down and leads with his head - going to get his block knocked off.

Renard said...

i agree that he needs improvment, but at 17 he has plenty of time. so far he must be doing something right. we continue on with our comments and we seem to follow his every move. who puts asses in seats? the boxers that are good or the boxers that seem interesting? i've seen the kid fight on several occasions, seen him lose, seen him win. i must admit that when he was fighting, i caught every second of it. he probably will never become a world champion, but i do believe he will get paid more than most. actually according to the experts, boxing is now a business. it's no longer about who is the best. each weight class has dozens of belts. back in the day they had one belt, one champ. boxing will never be the same+
