Harrison Wins Pro Debut in Mississippi; Rahman Scores KO in Co-Feature!

DC welterweight Dusty Harrison won his pro debut tonight at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, MS capturing a four-round unanimous decision over Atlanta, GA's Alphonso Alexander.

Announced as "The Youngest Pro Fighter in the United States," the 16-year-old Harrison won by a shutout (40-36) on all three judges cards against the now 0-4 Alexander.

Sources tell BATB that Harrison has become an instant hit with the fans at the DeSoto Civic Center as he signed autographs after the bout and has had ladies's phone numbers thrown at him.

In the co-feature, former undisputed heavyweight champion Hasim "The Rock" Rahman stopped last-minute contender Galen Brown in the sixth round. Brown reportedly took a knee four times in this bout. Rahman is now 49-7-1, 40 KO's. Brown falls to 35-16-1, 22 KO's.
