Beltway Boxers Win in Charlotte!

Three Beltway Boxers captured wins Saturday night in Charlotte, NC. Alexandria, VA middleweight Brandon Quarles won a four-round unanimous decision over Aaron Baker. Quarles is now 5-0, two KO's. Baker of North Carolina was making his pro debut.

DC light heavyweight Thomas Williams, Jr. made his long-awaited return a successful one by scoring a first-round knockout over Bennie Meeks of Wilson, NC. Williams stopped his opponent at two minutes of the first. Williams is now 2-0, one KO. His first win was back in November. Meeks is now 0-3.

Also, undefeated Baltimore junior middleweight Cecil McCalla returned to action for the first time in more than 11 months with a third-round TKO over Joey "Mundo" Ortega of Lowell, MA. McCalla stopped Ortega 13 seconds into round three. McCalla is now 13-0, five KO's. Ortega is now 3-21, one KO.
