Thompson, Guerrero Score Knockouts in Atlantic City; Jargal Loses Split Decision; Williams Stopped in Second!

A mixed bag for Beltway Boxers at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. DC heavyweight Tony "The Tiger" Thompson scored a fourth-round knockout over Paul Marinaccio to raise his record to 35-2, 23 KO's while Marinaccio is 24-6-3, 11 KO's.

Middleweight contender Fernando Guerrero of Salisbury, MD remained undefeated with a fourth-round TKO over Saul "Baby" Duran. Guerrero is now 20-0, 17 KO's. Duran falls to 37-18-2, 30 KO's.

Arlington, VA junior welterweight "The Mongolian Mongoose" Bayan Jargal lost a tough eight-round split decision over Steve Upshur Chambers. Scores were 77-75 for Jargal and 77-75, 78-74 for Chambers. Jargal is now 15-1-3, 10 KO's while Chambers is 23-1, six KO's.

In the main event, Paul "The Punisher" Williams who trains here in the Beltway area, was knocked out in the second round by Sergio Martinez for the WBC Middleweight championship. Williams is now 39-2, 27 KO's. Martinez is 46-2-2, 24 KO's.
