Yes, there are two cards slated for Saturday, November 6. This one will be a Bobby Magruder Promotion and will be at the Waldorf Jaycees in Waldorf, MD. The main event will be an eight-round middleweight contest between George "Wartime" Rivera of Charlottsville, VA and John "No Mercy" Mackey, now fighting out of Upper Marlboro, MD.
Mackey (12-5-2, five KO's) is coming off an eight-round majority decision win over previously undefeated Donald Orr on June 19 in Niagra Falls, NY. Rivera (11-5, four KO's) has not fought since losing a 10-round unanimous decision to James Stevenson on March 20 in Baltimore.
The co-feature is a six-round contest between undefeated Oxon Hill, MD light heavyweight Alexander "The Great" Johnson and Shannon Anderson of Philadelphia, PA> Johnson (9-0, three KO's) last fought on April 2 and won a six-round unanimous decision over William Gill in DC. Anderson (4-2, two KO's) is coming off a four-round unanimous decision loss to Angel Concepcion on July 16 in Newark, NJ.
Anderson made his pro debut along the Beltway on this date (Sept. 30) in 2004 when he defeated Michael Gutrick by four-round unanimous decision in Glen Burnie, MD. Anderson also won a six-round unanimous decision over Jarell Mason Jackson in Millersville, MD in November of 2005.
Also slated to be on this card are Beltway Boxers Juan "The Savior" Rodriguez, Venroy July, Lenwood "Mr. Composure" Dozier, Abodurin Akinyanju and debuting boxers Thomas Williams, Jr. and Chris Warden.

anybody that would say anything bad about this card has to be part of the Lange regime.You know how a drowning man will grab at a straw floating on the water in an effort to stay afloat,well thats what we have here.Like him or dislike him Magruder puts on a card where the fighters or on a level playing field. The Langes will make sure somebody falls for Jimmy the Elvis inpersonator Lange.And then hold a post fight press conference and talk about how they are going to fight for a title this year.

The Lange camp isn't leaving nasty commments, they have a fight to prepare for. The same troll is leaving the same comments on the entry about the Lange fight, too.
It's too bad the cards conflict, though, as I'd like to see them both.

Wartime fights as if there is a cease fire in place. This card stinks.

I'm not a Lang fan but saw Rivera spar with jimmy a couple years ago and riveria thre the towel in after two rounds. Rivera no good.

George's only problem is consistency. On a good night he's one he'll of a fighter. On a bad night he lacks offense. Him and mackey is worth watching. Mackey is a live opponent. I'm suprised wartime is taking on such stiff comp at this point in his career when most fighters would be trying to pad their records after a couple losses. I don't see any problem in this match up or this card.
The savior Rodriguez.why do they call him the savior? He wasn't saving much his last outing at thye patriot center.One of my homeboys put the beat down on him.
Guess he lost his fan base in virginia when a guy that had lost most of his fights busted him up.
The kid seem to have a big heart but guess his trainer is lacking the neccessary skills to teach him any better.Did anyone notice how his trainer carried himself?
The guy had a strange haircut and wore dark sunglasses indoors at night.I guess he can dress like he wants but The savior needs to look for a new trainer.Just hope
he is matched the right way and he will probobly do just fine.
This is by far a better show than their having in Virginia the same night.
