Jargal Musters Draw in Atlantic City!

On a night full of surprises at the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, "The Mongolian Mongoose" Bayan Jargal of Arlington, VA could only manage an eight-round draw against Rock Hill, SC's James Hope. No details on the bout but all three judges scored the contest 76-76.

Jargal remains undefeated at 15-0-3, 10 KO's but all three draws have come to journeyman boxers (Jaime Rodriguez, Richard "Tiger" Lee Hall and Hope) Hope is now 6-5-1, four KO's.

The bout was on the undercard of the David Tua-Monte Barrett bout that ended in a 10-round draw, with Tua being knocked down for the first time in his career. Also on this card, Carlos Vinan, a journeyman boxer who battles out of Newark, NJ, scored an upset eighth-round TKO over the IBF's number four-ranked boxer Anthony Mezaache. Vinan lost two battles against Baltimore's Tyrell Samuel and won a split decision over then-undefeated Eric Hunter, who later went on to beat Samuel on a Showtime card in 2007.

I don't know about that. The guy Jargal fought was a good fighter who had fought a lot of good fighters and gone the distance with most. I still like him. But perhaps he isnt the fighter he used to be. Is he still sparring with Paul Williams? A few too many sparring sessions with the Punsiher may not be a good thing for Bayan. He may be leaving it all in the gym.

If he can't beat journeyman, do you really think he can be a world champion??

As I always say..... "Sooner or later, he will have to step up"... And he hasn't even stepped up and has THREE Draws..... THREE DRAWS!!!

Another Arvin with these draws! Come on, stop kissing ass and call it like is. Neither are going to to the top when the struggle in draws with these type of fighters! Did Ray Leonard or Tommy Hearns get draws? NO!
