Undefeated Capitol Heights, MD featherweight Gary Russell, Jr. returns to action on Thursday, June 24 in a scheduled six-round bout against Las Vegas, NV's Rodrigo Aranda at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA.
Russell, Jr. (9-0, six KO's) is coming off a first-round knockout over Carlos Diaz on April 16 in Memphis, TN. The win was Russell's third straight first-round knockout and his fourth straight knockout overall. Aranda, a native of Mexico (8-12-2, two KO's) has lost five straight and seven of his last eight.
Russell, Jr. is tentatively scheduled to be on the undercard of Fernando Guerrero's bout against Ishe Smith on July 16 in Memphis, TN.

I could have swore I seen a dude named Gary Russell fighting as an amateur on a boxing card not even 2-3 months ago.
You probably saw one of his little brothers, who are also named Gary Russell.
