Cast of 'ShadowBoxer' Gets Taste of Sweet Science!

The Opera "Shadowboxer", based on the life of Joe Louis, started its run at the University of Maryland's Clarice Smith Arts Center yesterday. The show will continue until Sunday, April 25.

In preparation for their roles, members of the Shadowboxer cast worked out with the Terps Boxing Team at the University of Maryland. As you will see in this video, some of the cast members found a new respect for "The Sweet Science."

By the way, some posters asked for a review and I will be attending the last show which will be April 25 at 3 PM, so a review is forthcoming.

That's really nice!

Food for thought: I wonder if they will be doing an opera based on the life of Muhammad Ali - People Tell Me I'm Great If Only I Could Remember It!

Joe should enlist Cujo in this play so he could learn some technique these guys have been boxing a couple of months and already have better technique than that clown

Yeah they do have better technique than Cujo but they are also tougher than Tony Jeter! Even the ones with the rainbow colored tutus are tougher than that limp wristed fairy! Tony Jeter has nightmares about the cast of ShadowBoxer and wets his widdle bed! Ohhhhh poor Tony Jeter the cute widdle mo better bed wetter!
