Would Sigmon be too small for Ridgway or Jeter? I don't think so in Jeter's case. Jeter wants to be a middleweight anyway. Ridgway may be another story.

Ridgeway would dominate him. He is way too big and heavy handed!!!!!! Jeter would probably stop him too

sore loser, sigmon got beat get over it,so did poor time

You can't take anything from Jesse he fought a tremendous fight against a physically bigger Cujo. It was a tremendous showing by Nicklow so regardless of what you define a slip or what your biased opinion is the facts are the facts Nickelow was the better man tonight, but Cujo took the lost graciously and better than I anticipated he would. Talk about respect well Cujo and Joe H have shown less repsect than anybody hopefully this will teach them humility.

Anonymous said...

All they should learn from the loss is to stay away from maryland the refs are smoking as much crack as the fans

Anonymous said...

This should not turn into a Cujo Vs Jeter or Cujo Vs Ridgeway debate we should be talking about the perormance put on by Jesse this was his night, and no star shone brighter than Nickelow. His heart is tremendous and I wish him all the best.

Anonymous said...

Ask Cujo or Joe if they recieved a fair decision. Cujo is tough but he can't box. Jesse didn't go down than for anything other than he was faitigued and off balance at times. You push and pull around 175 pounds for 30 straight minutes and tell me how you feel after 3.

jeter and cujo needs to fight and get it over with last man standing match

Anonymous said...

I'm sure cujo would take that fight with win or leave town on the line we just gotta hope jeter don't run like I heard he did in the parking lot, I mean come on man u don't bust out no windows unless the man u want to get to is sittin in the car

if sigmon is serious about
cleaning up boxing he would stick
a garbage bag over his fat head
and dive in a dumpster, what
a piece of garbage he is! is that
what they call boxing in virginia,
if so i now understand why they
say virginia is for lovers! cos
it sure aint for boxers!

im amazed hensley put his fighters
in with other fighters that actually had a pulse, of course that meant that they both lost!
but hensleys bums will go back
to fighting cats that been knocked out 5 times in a row, for the local rubes that think they are watching boxing.

Anonymous said...

sigmon is fights like a reject
from a toughman contest! what a big
clumsy oaf! lucky he was in with
a guy 2 weight divisions smaller than him. if he aims real high he
might follow in peter macneely footsteps and make his claim to
fame getting iced by someone famous! what a joke!

Anonymous said...

joe hensley put his guys in with
live bodies??? i guess his hook
up at the local mortuary ran dry!
real competition means hensleys guys lose big, even with siglow a
supermiddle weight not being able
to handle a junior middle weight,
what a farce!

poor fido! gets wooped by a guy
half his size, what a bum!

Anonymous said...

even though nicklow is not a great
tecnician by any stretch of the imaigination, sigmons boxing skills
are practictly non-existant! who
taught this guy how to box? im sure
hed be a great success if his next
fight was in the olympics....the
special olympics...what a spaz!

great job jesse, beating a much
bigger man, luckily cujos skills
are laughable, i was worried jesse

cujos quote of the day: there comes
a moment in every lousy fighters life when he realizes his promoter
has been matching him up with bums
because he sells alot of tickets, then comes the moment when
he actually has to fight someone whos not a complete stiff, and even
though hes waaaaay smaller than you
get exposed as the garbage you are.
last night was your moment fido,
what a bum you are!

NOXIOUS said...

Honestly I think most of the people posting weren't at the fight! Cujo showed that he is what I claimed: a crowd pleasing fighter. And he proved he's not what Joe claimed: a Gene Fulmer! But if you were there you're lying if you say you were not pleased while watching this fight. Both fighters showed tremendous will to win and it definitely wasn't 99-91 as one judge scored, rather it was closer to a draw in my eyes. I did think Jesse should've been given an eight count once in the ninth or tenth round when it appeared the ropes kept him from going down. But they had a fair and competent ref for this fight and he was certainly in a better position to make the call than me. But someone needs to get it through to jesse that he can't punch, he could've easily outpointed cujo if he didn't load up all night. However if either fighter could punch it would've been over very quickly. But I feel very privileged to have been there it's not often you see two guys go it like that, everyone needs to congratulate both fighters, they deserve it!

well i was there and what i saw from cujo isnt boxing, hes got heart
but with zero skill he will always
remain a "local attraction" who appeals to fans that dont know boxing. why build up guys no talent?i tell you why:it lines a promoters pocket. they actually got
cujo believing hes a real fighter.
its kind of sad that when he wakes up to reality and realizes he was
just making money for a promoter and never had any chance to make it
in this game.tough aint enough!

Anonymous said...

I was there and there is no way that fight was a draw jesse clearly won, maybe not 99-91 but he won with a score no less than 96-94. Cujo is an action fighter but to call him a crowd pleaser is grossly overstated. Had it not been for the pre-fight hype it wouldn't have been a crowd pleaser too me. To me the George Vs James fight was the most entertaining because of the skilled displayed. Cujo's lack of boxing skill was embarrassing and makes anybody think they can fight.

On another note this rift between Cujo and Jeter is going to get somebody seriously hurt. A few Cujo's fans stepped way out of line. I am not saying they were all out of line for the most ppart they were good peoples there to root on their local boy, but what I saw was unbelievable. I was told one of them tried to fight Jeter as he was leaving, and the guy with the trash bag uncalled for. Now if Jeter out of defense hurts one of them he is the bad guy and goes to jail while one of them is off to the hospital. Lynchburg you got an exciting fighter enjoy him but leave the fighting to the professionals.

Anonymous said...

you got that right about the build up! i truly believe cujo believes all the b.s. he spews. he talks like hes something special, i think hes special....in a special olympics kind of way.the guy has
absolutly no talent! a tough guy with a hard head does not make a great boxer.find a coach, learn to
box, dont try to be a star when you clearly dont know how to fight!
its dilusional!

cujo in a boxing ring reminded me
of sara palin in a presidential election "NO BUSINESS BEING THERE"
funny thing, il bet cujo is a big
fan of sara "the alaskan chillbilly" palin. empty minds think alike!

Please, enough with the hating. I WAS there. All four main event fighters gave it their all and acted professionally. Nicklow DID win, but Sigmon certainly was game and in the fight. Stevenson DID win, but Rivera was at least game. The REAL disappointing display of poor skills that I saw was from just a few members of the crowd who showed poor behavior skills -- some by taunting, others by fighting. Security did a very good job and, in spite of the isolated crowd issues, this was a great night for beltway area boxing.

Boxing said...

It was a good bout between Cujo and Jessie-nobody dominated the bout.Yes Cujo doesn't have that many skills but so what.He has heart and pretty good conditioning.
As far as Jeter/Cujo Jeter was challenged by Cujo and didn't take the fight for whatever reason-simple as that.Jeter really shouldn't even comment on Cujo being that Jeter hasn't even had a scheduled fight for 10 rounds much less six rounds and on top of that Jeter has fought nobody at all in the pros. All you have to do is look at his next scheduled bout to see who hes fighting. And I'm not hating on him but I feel he gets WAY too much mileage from his past accomplishments.Hes done NOTHING in the pros which is ashame because he did have talent.
As far as Cujo goes he stepped up and lost-he didn't get dominated or blown up-he just lost to a better pro that night and theres no shame in that-he gave it his all and thats the only thing you can ever ask from a pro boxer rather they have talent or not.

Anonymous said...

yea cujo stepped up and fought an average fighter with no punching power who normally fights at 154.
a few details that bring this fight
into perspective, if cujo ever stepped into the ring with a fighter his own size with a little skill he will get iced. i know you
have to hype these shows, but damn
lets try just a little bit to keep
it real, boxing in many parts of
the country is more like watching wrestling, its more entertainment than an actual competitive sport. thats why mma is taking over. boxing needs to get real now if it is going to survive.so give us real fights with real fighters, not "tough guys who are in shape"
fighting much smaller boxers and
STILL LOSING! KEEP IT REAL MAN!

Anonymous said...

Listen the fact is Jesse was dog tired. If he would have remained fresh he would have dominated Cujo. Cujo is tough but he is not a good boxer or fighter he throws a ton of slapping punches and he keeps coming forward thats it anybody that sees skill in this man isn't much of a talent evaluator.

The actions of the fans was pretty dispicable in some cases. Nobody should ever step over the boundary of fan to participant. If thats what you want to do go to a local gym train and then decide if this is the right sport for you.

Anonymous said...

his head was in the air the entire fight and his footwork was akward honestly does he train for boxing or just fitness and im not trying to be a jerk im seriously curious also did he fight amatuer how long because if he just started i can understand but if he has been doing this for some time it may be time to move onto something else

Anonymous said...

yea, but the simpletons in lynchberg love him!shows how ignorant they are. afterall, jerry
falwell took that city for everythings its worth preaching his
hatefull, bigotted, brand of supersititious mumbo-jumbo for profit.cujo puts butts in seats and
dollars in joe h's pocket, his lack of skill, and lack of a future in the sport of boxing doesnt really matter.

Anonymous said...

I find it amusing that Cujo got beat by a man who is three weight classes below him. I love it that he didn't even make weight. I hope that this is the end to that ignorant punk. I wish he had more courage and would fight someone in his weight class at light heavyweight. He is not really that tough! He takes what he has been hit with because it is either much and I mean much smaller fighters or complete bums. Joe do us all a favor and keep a muzzle on your poodle. All that is left is for Cujo to man up to the man who called him out and punked him in Lynchburg! What is going to be Cujo? Are you man enough to fight Ridgeway? You are now 0-1 on fighting the guys you ran your mouth on. You need a dance partner on April 23rd, so why not get another easy fight and then step up let Justin Timberlake or Tony Jeter beat next?!?!?!?!

Anonymous said...

I am a grandmother and I took my grandchild to this boxing match in Maryland. I was suprised at the dislpay of ignorance from Tony Jeter. I am from Maryland and am ashamed of saying that Tony is from my hometown. Show a little respect for the sport Tony. No need to display kindergarten action with profanity.

Anonymous said...

sad but true, cujo is a total bum
but as long as hes putting cash
in the pocket of that fat pimp joe
h, i dont think hes going away, even though he has no talent and absolutly no future in boxing except maybe as a punching bag. put
a hook in that fat head and hang him from the ceiling, id pay fat joe to see that!

weight weight weight... that seems to have been the big concern. what will you have to do with Nicklow when that soon to be wife sees that she is with a drawf that weights less than her?
who knows...mental hospital?

Anonymous said...

I can't wait to hear Joe H and Cujo's take on this if they had won that fight they would be all over this blog giving interviews going wild

Anonymous said...

fat joe will do what ever it takes to keep the cash flowing, other peoples pain for his gain, now that cujo has pretty much been exposed as a complete fraud, joe will either try to build up a phoney rivalry with another much
smaller opponent, or he will find another bum whos only talent is selling tickets. bottom line is all that matters to fat joe!

Okay...I did attend the boxing match. What is wrong with these people saying...not a boxer,no skill, etc. Listen these boxers did a fine job...they train, they put their best performance on, they are boxers. You are not born with experience...it comes with time. I think we should be a little more suppotive of this sport so that it will grow...not make negative comments...Come on, you like boxing, you want others to like boxing..all boxers at the Maryland bout did a fine job.

serious question

his head was in the air the entire fight and his footwork was akward honestly does he train for boxing or just fitness and im not trying to be a jerk im seriously curious also did he fight amatuer how long because if he just started i can understand but if he has been doing this for some time it may be time to move onto something else

Anonymous said...

to the above post these people commenting are only telling the truth what cujo does is not a good example of boxing skill he has poor footwork, head in the air all the time, slapping punches, and pourous defense but he has a decent chin and energy for days

Anonymous said...

I think Cujo is a marketing geniuse, He did all the prefight hype to get ticket sales up, looses, then moves on and starts all over with Jeter. Give this guy his props. How else could he get that many people to watch him fight. In a starnge way this kid is good for boxing, just ask Jake.

Anonymous said...

being good at selling tickets is one thing, knowing how to fight is another.maybe the time he spends selling tickets would be better spent trying to learn how to fight!
once youve seen his garbage style,
why would you waste your money?
its definitly great for putting money in the promoters pocket but saying its great for boxing is a foolish statement! when we have to compete with mma we should pride ourselves in our craft, who wants to
watch a guy flop around a ring with
horrible tecnique, sloppy footwork and no power, knock outs are good for boxing and the only way i see cujo stopping fighter is from his opponents hurting there hands on that
big ol completly undefended head.

Cujo do you have the courage to fight Ridgeway or jeter?

Anonymous said...

Yes I do.Ridgway and I are trying to work on something. As far as Jeter he is too busy vandalizing cars to worry about a fight, but Jeter will not show his face around me again I promise because my fans and I will end him.Ridgway is a man Jeter however is not.Congratulations to Nicklow great fight appreciate the opportunity. CUJO

Riddle me this. What does weight have to do with anything in boxing?? I could see height and arm reach being a factor but weight honestly doesn't matter because they aren't grappling around with each other like in Mixed Martial Arts.

Anonymous said...

you can't beat Jessie that was proven already. You don't think you can beat Tony, and do you really think you can beat Ridgeway?

Anonymous said...

how is weight imortant? the bigger someone is the more they can use their weight on the smaller guy, and normally a bigger guy hits harder and can absorb more punishment.

Boxing said...

Look Cujo stepped up and lost in a very good bout which was close.Cujo relies on toughness and conditioning to win fights.
He should at least be given credit for fighting a talented boxer in Jessie.
And to be honest why is Jeters name even mentioned in this blog?He didn't fight on this card did he?And if people are going to point fingers at people why not Jeter?Look at the quality of his last 3 opponents and tell me where he showed any "skill"-he basically beat up on hand picked opponents who showed up only for a paycheck.
And I really don't know too much about Ridgway other then hes fought 1 time in the pro ranks-not exactly someone who should be talking alot either.

Anonymous said...

It doesn't matter that he is 1-0. It will be the same end result....... Green River will knock him out inside of 4 rounds.

Anonymous said...

nicklow weighed 162 the night of the fight and sigmon weighed 200 and nicklow beat him down plain as day. Nicklow you are the MAN!

Boxing said...

It does matter that Ridgeway is 1-0.Why hasn't he fought more if he wants to fight Cujo?
And Ridgeways opponent I believe was 0-5?Both Jeter and Ridgeways names shouldn't be mentioned until they start boxing alot more-say what you will about Cujo but at least he FIGHTS and is active.

Anonymous said...

is that true that sigmon weighed 40 lbs more that jessie? They need to implement a next day weigh in so people don't get hurt. Very unfair and sigmon should be ashamed.

Gary Digital Williams said...

That's not completely true. Nicklow weighed 161 1/4 while Sigmon came in at 163. Sigmon probably put on maybe 15 or 20 pounds afterwards in rehydration so he may have come in the ring at about 175 or 180, not 200.

In most cases in Virginia, they have weigh-ins the morning of the card. Boxers around the country are divided on that issue -- some prefer it, some don't.

we all know tony and joe hate each other so why would tony fight cujo knowing the real benefiter is going to be who? the promoter/manager joe h. that would be ass backwards tony is not going to do shyte on joe h's terms. plus how would tony fighting anybody, especially cujo, in lynchburg turn out. they don't call it lynchburg for nothing. those rednecks would change tony's name to toby quick. i don't think cujo and joe h really wanted to fight jesse thats why they didn't even try to make weight. if jesse had said lose the pound they would have went home. same thing with tony they just want the hype, if they want the fight that bad im sure they could get it cause money talks

cujo is on steroids

Anonymous said...

Personally I am tired of hearing about Jeter Vs Sigmon or their hatred or whatever lets move onto the next one. If Sigmon and Ridgway talks are underway lets talk about that, even though we have before and nothing came of it. I mean seriously who would sanction anything more than a four rounder with Ridgway, and Cujo would just wait till his opponent is tired before he starts throwing those slapping glove thingys he does. So Cujo Vs Ridgway doean't really sound feasible either

Jeter, I know you are reading. You taunted Cujo, you want to fight him? Cujo showed he's not scared, he came here, fought the hometown kid tough. So you are the x factor, will you fight Cujo? Or are you content taunting in a controlled environment.

Commission says you won't, his record isnt upside down.

Anonymous said...

Cujo,

Is this like the last time you were going to fight Justin? We came to your house and shut your punk mouth there. Are you really going to keep your word this time or is it just talk again.

Boxing said...

Why would you go to someones house like that? Are you still in High School?
You know some of these guys are suppose to be PROS in their sport but they act like there in high school again.
The shame of this entire situation is that it took all the attention away from Stevenson,Nicklow, and the other boxers on the card that actually BOXED that night.
I think that certain people who make all this noise but won't fight realize that there time to make an impact in the pro ranks is nearing to an end and they cause these problems for attention.

Horse shit ,so Ridgeway went to lynchburg, big damn deal.
Ridgeway couldn't beat Sigmon on his best day with sigmon having the flu.All these fighters talk to each other on the phone and are making fools out of all of you.Ridgeway should have some more fights before talking all this trash.Sigmon has at least fought some credible people now.
Somebody like this guy who called him out should have to pay some dues before running that mouth
like he does.Who is this clown Ridgeway and where the hell does
he train and who has he fought.
What gym is he from?He sounds like one of those people who are trying to get status as a fighter and do nothing to earn it. and do nothing to earn it.and do nothing to earn it.and do nothing to earn it.and do nothing to earn it.
Get the picture?

Justin Ridgway said...

To whoever wrote that last comment,

I really couldn't care any less about what you say. I called Cujo out after he made some very foul and out of line comments about my wife and daughter. I can and will beat Cujo when we do fight. If you have something to say to me please post it under your name. I really have no problem with anyone other then Cujo. We have talked on the phone and trust me it wasn't a very civil conversation. I have nothing left to say to him until after our fight which is happening. I am willing to cut the weight to be at 168lbs in order for him to fight me. I hope to see whoever you are sitting ringside when I put the Cujo to sleep.

God Bless,

Justin RIdgway

p.s. this is the only thing I will say until after the fight.
