I am staying home to watch the Pac Man vs Clottey. You all enjoy the Golding Gloves. Sniffing under arms after dark. Live on Beetle Juice VHS tape. Bathroom stalls smell like drunken urine. Direa on only one side of toilet top. Used mouth piece, all 3 boxers used the same one. Panama Lewis gloves are now in stock. Dreads do not fit under head gear. Mom said son was robbed. Coach filing greviance. want to write check. check twice 2 c if cup is on. ref over did it.
now he got a free feel. crowd LMFAO at the feeling of jock strap cup/ladies had leotards on with boots. quarter finals tonite, but fought championship on feb 20th.???
Asshole called me Free Willy instead of my name Slick Willy.
Fred got it on tape. Showing my neighbors, they think its funny.
I farted on wooden bench, it sounded weird. I blamed it on Shaheeds Floyds little cousin.
He thought he really did 2. Maybe we busted one at the same time.
Enjoy the 2010 Golding Gloves. See u guys next week.

Things are really starting to heat up, looks like a very exciting night. Boy the open class 141lb is really loaded this year, whoever wins this division will be well battled tested.

I 100% agree with you; the 141 pound division is the toughest of them all. It has and always will be the most talent filled division.
Used to be the 139lb division until they changed to the 141. Either way its all the same.
Looks to me that Kevin Womack and Teran Grant are the top two 141 pounders in this tournament. Now don't get me twisted! The other are pretty damn good, but they really should be at 132 or even 125
They are just too short to hang with a real 141 pounder. Mike Reed, Alen Russel, Rock Warden, and Seth Billups are all tough boxers, but if Womack and Grant are in tip top shape-the other have nothing coming. You heard it here first! Luckly for the shorter ones, the rounds at Ray's are two minutes each instead of the 3 minutes each that USA Boxing calls for in the open division. Why is this-I havn't a clue. Either way-Womack and Grant will have hand raised this sat night and not a soul will argue the decision. You can bet your house on it.

Nate Davis would give them all major difficulties. Unfortunatley from what I understand, he is on vacation.

I also agree with you on Davis, but he is out of tournament so I never even considered him. Yes he is the cream of the crop.
Vacation though? In the middle of a Golden Glove tournament???

He has joined the United States Marines!

Nathaniel Worky wins
Edgar Linquanskiz wins
Emanual Johnson wins
Seth Billups wins
Mike Reed wins
Terron Grant wins
Markiest More wins
Demont Nickelson wins
Thomas Wilson wins
I should be 9 for 9 on this pick, seems to be a fairly easy one to choose*

I feel the same except for Tavon Sol beats Wilson

OMG LMFAO at Slick Willy! Could he and Billy D (remember him) be one in the same? Funny stuff there!

You guy's must be kidding the top boxer in the 141lb is Allen Russell, he's been the top in this area for year's. The other guy's are tough but none of them has the experience, power,or quickness of Russell. Russell will also have the mental advantage you dont think those guy's are going to be nervous when they step in the ring with Russell.

You are confusing yourself with his brother Lil G. They are several Russells. I cannot recall Alan Russell winning anything like Lil G did. I looked on line and see nothing but Gary not Alan. Don't get me wrong, he may very well win the local Golden Gloves, but to my knowlege it would be his first. As far as anyone being nervous about competeing agasinst him> not sure why if no one ever sees him box. I have attended several of shows in the state of Maryland and only seen him box twice in 3 years. I did see this Womack guy and he seems to be the favorite of the 139-140 pound class. Not saying that just because he is from Baltimore. I really believe it to be true. Wish all the guys good luck and may the best man win.

ALLEN WON A NATINAL GG TITLE

Anonymous said...

Allan didn't win NGG, Gary did. As for Womack, I like him but he boxed Allen last year in West VA. It wasn't close at all. He lost clearly.

Anonymous said...

Seth Billups will be very poised and Reed is too cocky to worry about another fighter being more experienced. I wouldn't count either of them out and on any given night could beat Womack without much difficulty.

Allen russell has beaten womak twice. He stopped him in the golden gloves in 2007. and like the earlier poster said he easily out pointed him last year. Seth billups is ok but hes not that close to the top.
Im more interested in the 152 lb weight class. I know david grayton and marquis moore are in the tourny but what about alantez fox, mike reed and antoine douglas? Any info on them? I could see any of them winning. pretty wide open division and i wouldnt know who to favor.

Anonymous said...

152 is between day day and Marquis. Mike reed is at 141. Action is at 152 but recovering from injury and fox is going out to Baku for worlds in April.

It'll be grayton or Moore most likely.

For the person who said Russell hasn't won anything, u must not follow the area's boxer's. Russell last competed in the GG two years ago when everybody was trying to make the olympic's, it was his first GG because he was 17, he blew away the competition and was the one of the favorites for the national title, but he competed in the mid-west trials and won that tournament for a chance to compete for a spot in the olympic's. He ended up as one of the top five 141lbs in the nation that year at 17yrs. Last year he had a shoulder injury and only competed in the 19 and under which he lost in the championship. I don't know if u know this but he has been in the top of the division nationally since he turned open. The reason why u don't see guy's like him box locally to much is that most coaches would pull thier boxer if they were matched up,so its hard for them to get local bout's unless its a national tournament and you have to box them.

It's to bad Tez Fox and action Douglas aren't boxing in the GG, that division would be just as strong as the 141lbs. Don't forget Jayboo is boxing 152lbs. It comes down to Jayboo, Marquis, and Day Day, should be very interesting
