Guerrero Faces Nicklow On ShoBox Telecast From Minnesota!

It never fails. Every time I put up a calendar of boxing events, late news comes in forcing me to make an addition to the schedule. This is a BIG addition as well.

BATB has learned that undefeated Salisbury, MD middleweight Fernando Guerrero will take on Baltimore's Jessie "The Beast" Nicklow on Friday, December 18 at the Grand Casino in Hinkley, MN. Although the bout will not be fought on Maryland soil, the consolation is that the card will be shown nationwide on Showtime's ShoBox telecast.

According to sources, the bout will not be for Guerrero's interim NABO Middleweight title that Guerrero (16-0, 13 KO's) won in his last outing by 10-round majority decision over Ossie Duran on October 10 in Salisbury, MD. The bout will be a scheduled 10-round affair that will be fought reportedly at 163 pounds.

Nicklow (19-1-2, seven KO's) will be trying to break a two-bout winless streak, losing to George Rivera by eight-round unanimous decision on November 1, 2008 in Fairfax, VA and battling John Mackey to an eight-round majority draw on June 19 in Glen Burnie, MD. This will be Nicklow's first scheduled 10-round contest.

The two boxers know each other well, having boxed each other five times in the amateurs. Guerrero held a 3-2 edge over Nicklow, but all five bouts were reportedly very competitive.

Great! But why so far away? Can you imagine the crowd if they fought at home. What a dumb ass decision. Have some loyalty guys, us fans want to be there. Feeling ripped off here, I went to both of you guys fight here every damn time. In fact, all of my co-workers did too. I hope you both get Knocked the F%$# out. It's possible-I seen it before.

This was not their decision. This is a Gary Shaw-promoted card. Prize Fight, the company that handles Guerrero, got an opportunity to get their guy on this card.

Nicklow is reportedly getting a good payday as well so they couldn't pass the opportunity up.

Both guys, I think, want to have the bout here, but business was business.

My man Jesse. This is your time to shine. Make Club One family proud.

I would like to say that Jesse is a class act. I have been a member and coach at Club One fitness for 3 plus years and during that time I can honestly say that I have seen only 2 other fighters train as hard as Jesse has. He puts in the work and bothers nobody, and that is why he is so well liked. This will be a great fight and I hope we get the victory.

I hope you get the fucked knocked out of you, you ignorant ass hole.
Why don't we just get them to come over to your house and fight in your back yard and you can invite all your neighbors and a few family members over for some chips and dip.And why don't you invite Obama and the family over since the white house is just a few miles away.Your one of those ass holes that thinks the world revolves around you.
Man youare really ignorant.

Look fellas, these guys are PROFESSIONAL boxers... In other words, they gotta go where the money takes them. Especially considering it's still early in their careers & neither has made a LOT of money yet. I'm sure they'd rather fight at home. 163 seems like an advantage for Guerrero. Nicklow has always seemed small to me. After saying that, good luck to both of you guys, & I hope you both come out safely.

Great? Fernando will search Jessie the ''Alien'' Nicklow out and try to destroy him. The little monster wont be hard to find because he runs from no one. A draw in the making. Hats off to the both of them.
