Tucker Has Opponent For Vacant USBO Title Bid!

Undefeated Eldersburg, MD light heavyweight Mark "TNT" Tucker has an opponent for the Friday, September 25 matchup for the vacant USBO (United States Boxing Organization) Light Heavyweight title bout at the Shipley Arena in Westminster, MD.

The opponent's name is Jim "Steel Chin" Strohl of Las Vegas, NV by way of Decatur, IL. The 37-year-old Strohl (27-6, 21 KO's) started his career in 1997 and won his first 18 contests before losing a 12-round split decision to Calvin Lampkin for the IBC Americas heavyweight title in June of 1999. Strohl has lost six of his last eight bouts, fighting the likes of heavyweights Calvin Brock and Cedric Boswell, cruiserweight Rob Calloway and light heavies Tavoris Cloud, Joey Spina and Zach Walters. Strohl hasn't fought since August 22, 2008 when he was stopped by Spina in the second round.

Tucker (11-0, seven KO's) is coming off a solid 10-round unanimous decision over Rubin Williams on July 17 in Westminster. This will be a scheduled 12-round encounter.

Also slated for the September 25 card will be a rematch between Maryland State Super Featherweight champ Tyrell "Da Show Shock 'A" Samuel and Gustavo Dailey of Philadelphia, PA. Dailey (4-5, one KO) scored a big upset winning a six-round split decision over Samuel (12-3, six KO's) on the July 17 Westminster card.

Mark tucker is a very young fighter, what is the problem in this area when you try to bring a fighter along slowly, build him up, but in other areas, city's and states, its cool to do, he hasnt even been pro 2 years, and everyone wants him to fight people 12-0, or whatever Tuckers keep doing it how yal are doing, and fight that big fight when the monies right.

first, mark tucker has fought better competition then most local prospects, hands down, check their records,he is being brought alonf very well, not hand picked fall downs, once again, check their records, also his camp is relatively new to this so great job, once again lets support our local boys from westminster to bmore to se dc to pg etc, gambling may find its way to md soon which means big time boxing/money wake up and support these young men, pros and amatuers
