Now we're talking! Miller vs. Taylor is a fight fans fight! GREAT fight!

I heard Thomas Snow is also on the card, is that true?

Gary Digital Williams said...

As of right now, no. However, Rick Scharmberg of Fightnews who covers that area says there is one additional bout scheduled. Maybe that will be Snow's bout.

Snow's opponent pulled out.

Jimmy Lange VS Purcell Miller
How about it Lange are you still scared.

Gary Digital Williams said...

Don't look for Lange-Miller to happen anytime soon. They are in the same camp, being trained by the same trainer -- Don Turner.

Johnny seen this coming a long time ago.
He doesn't want any parts of Purcell so he gets Jimmy in the same camp. I would like to be a fly on the wall in the gym while they are sparring.

Looking forward to seeing you get that win Purcell! i'll be there rooting you on!

I like Purcell Miller but I'm going to pick Clarence "Sonny Bono" Taylor in this one, maybe even by KO. Styles make fights and Miller will be right there for Taylor and Taylor can swat. But, as someone else said, this is a GREAT fight!

I don't see a Lange v Miller fight or a Rivera v Miller fight happening. P. Miller fights at middle, not jr. middle.
I am looking forward to this Miller v Taylor fight though.

I loaned Joe Hensley $2,700 eight years ago so he could buy a car and he never paid me back. He;s a loser.

Whassup BATB! This is a great site, and really gives great exposure to the area's boxers. I'm not on here much, but I have to address some of those who have gotten on here and have posted the few negative comments about me in the past. Look, I'm one of the classiest guys you will ever meet, and don't associate with internet gangsters. And to be completely honest, I box because I really enjoy fighting. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't box full-time and that I spend more time at the clubs and partying than I do at the gym. And that's probably my biggest flaw. But when I do have a fight, I get in the gym, train very hard, and give 100% in the ring. But for those who call me a "bum", look a little closer at my record. I fought Bobby Roane (NJ Amateur state champ) in my 3rd pro fight in Atlantic City and easily went 4 rounds with him. I fought Yusaf Mack (ranked in the top 5 - 10 in the world right now) in my 9th pro fight, and stood toe to toe with him for the entire six rounds. I fought a tough Tomasz Nowak for a tough 6 rounds. And, then after a 5 YEAR layoff, I went 6 six rounds with Scott SIgmon and didn't look too shabby (and Scott Sigmon is alot better than you all think he is). And, yes, my loss to Robert Marsh is pathetic, but after he beat me in my first pro fight on some bs, it was hard for me to get over that mental block. So, I'm not giving alot of excuses, I'm just saying if I really wanted to get serious about boxing full-time, I think I could be better than 90% of the boxers out there, easily. For you guys who got negative things to say about me, why are you busting your butts in the gym full-time? Money? I spend more $$ every weekend than you make in one fight. Fame? I can go ANYWHERE in Va Beach and be easily recognized. Women? Let's not even go there. I'm prettier than most of you will ever be, and am always out with a model-chic. So I already have what you guys are fighting for, and I guess that's why I get too comfortable. But the negative comments might be what I need to take this boxing game more seriously, and when I do, best believe I'm better than 99% of you clowns out there.

Gary Digital...great site!

Alex Dill,

Shut up! I just watched your fight with sigmon, and you both look terrible! Neither of you have or at least incorporated any fundamentals in that fight. As far as you being better then 99% of the beltway boxers.... Please fight a beltway boxer beat him and then talk. Sigmon is not part of the beltway, and let alone much to handle. You call yourself classy, but yet you are on here talking about going to club, partying, and blowing more money then these guys make in one fight. Real classy show how ignorant you are. I'm sure you have "baby momma's" who could use that money. I am looking at your record right now, and I will have to admit I am laughing rather hard bud. You lost to Marsh twice, beat the same guy twice (who had a record of 1-46, and then 1-47), and your combined opponents record on your wins are 27-200! Highly impressive wins my friend. I am not going to comment on the rest of your ramble, but I will make a list of guys from the BELTWAY who I am sure would be more then willing to shut that trap up! Marck Tucker (11-0), Otgonbayer Daivii(3-2), and Justin Ridgway(1-0). I think all three of these young gentlemen would be glad to give you a warm welcome to the BELTWAY. Good Luck in your future endeavors, and I hope we get to see you fight one of the boxers listed above.

Unfortunately Purcell Miller pulled out of the bout yesterday.

Anonymous said...

That's because Sonny Bono would have knocked Purcell Miller out and Johnny Lange didn't want to see that happen. Johnny Lange knows Sonny Bono can bring it and I'm sure he told Purcell not to take the fight. Won't you put Purcell in with Jonathan Reid? Oh wait, you already stole Reid from my June 12th fight with George Rivera to fight Jimmy in September. If Jimmy or Johnny have any balls at all there is only one way to settle this and that is by fighting George Rivera in Jimmy's next fight.

Joe, we've met, and you're a cool guy, but while George would be a good fight for Lange, Lange would win fairly easily.

Same old Joey Hensnuts staring trouble, good things come to nice people and you are not very nice. Try working on your manors. If you don’t have anything nice to say keep you cock sucker shut.

PS YOU KNOW WHO

Brian said...

GOD I love this. This is almost as good as "As the World Turns." This is fantastic. Who needs TV? Stealing fighters, commission not approving fighters, suspesnions, fake injuries, last minute pull-outs. And there is one underlining story to this all.

Awesome. I can't wait for the sequel.

Joe that you know who is not me.
and you know who this is.
but I would like to hear your response to his comment,
I like how you always threaten these kind of people and they never take you up on it.
In other words your easy prey for these guys.Don't let them upset you Joey.

Joe pay Scott his money or is that why you keep begging for a fight with Lange.I thought you were a big time promoter why don't you promote the fight with Lange oh yeah you don't have money to pay Scott I know you can't pay George and Lange...

Anonymous said...

I've already said I'll promote the fight between Rivera and Lange months ago.

Which Scott are you talking about, Scott Sigmon or Scott Farmer? Those are the only two Scott's I know and I don't owe either of them, or anyone else for that matter, any money. Some people owe me a few bucks. Maybe you're one of them.

RE: the person that said try working on my "manors", you mean manners, right? Why don't you go back to the 4th grade and work on your English skills. You must have missed the class on homonyms. If I know you like you say I do, why don't you sign your name? Call me cock sucker to my face and see what happens.

You're trying to say I'm not very nice. Johnny Lange was the one who was not very nice in this situation. George Rivera was supposed to fight Jonathan Reid on June 12th. Reid pulls out of that fight on June 11th. That's one day before the fight for the benefit of my anonymous basher. I am assuming that since your English skills are lacking, your math skills are weak as well. Jonathan Reid then gets a contract on June 12th to fight Jimmy Lange in September. It is obvious what happened here. I may have been born at night, but I wasn't born last night. June 12th is the date Reid received the contract. He was contacted well in advance of that date when they knew Reid was already under contract to fight George Rivera on June 12th. The main reason they wanted Reid to fight Jimmy Lange is because Reid was scheduled to fight George Rivera and Johnny Lange wanted to screw that fight up and screw up my show. And that's exactly what he did. Go ahead and get mad about it Johnny Lange, I could care less! And for the record, I am a nice guy, a very nice guy. But when you screw with me the way Johnny Lange has screwed with me, there will be nothing nice about me. I'm basically done posting on this topic. Those that know me know that I am honorable man. If you're reading this and thinking, "man, that guy is an as*hole" then put yourself in my shoes and you tell me how you would react. If you said you would do nothing in this situation then I would call you a spineless coward. And I am nobody's coward. Johnny Lange, I will not go away on this subject. There is only one way to settle this and you know what that is. We'll see if you have any balls or not. But I already know the answer to that question.

Thanks,

Joe Hensley

Beltway boxers is like saying Mexican basketball players

Anonymous said...

Firstly, the comment about mexicans and beltway boxers is arguably the stupidest analogy I have heard all year... Don't come to a forum of this nature and make such ridiculous comments without expecting a reaction.. what a prick.

As for Purcell Miller, sadly Joe Hensley, he would have rocked Sonny Bono. Would've been a great fight, but don't get your knickers in a twist because your fight cards have been messed up in the past. Miller is a pure fighter, he still has alot left in him. It's a shame the fight didn't happen... it would have been epic.

Hey Joe,
we've always been respectful and supportive of each other...although we disagree on Lange v Rivera.
But if you would like to do Sigmon v Ridgway on your next show:-) give me a call.

Hey Asim,

No need for the precursor. I'm cool with everybody as long as they don't steal fighters from my show like Johnny Lange did. You have always been a gentleman, as have most of those I have dealt with in boxing, and when people treat me like that I treat them with respect. I follow The Golden Rule - Do Unto Others As They Would Do Unto You. Of course Johnny Lange follows a slightly different version of that motto and he will do unto you before you do unto him, know what I mean? And I know you think Jimmy Lange will beat George Rivera and that's okay too. So when the fight happens and George knocks Jimmy out, you're going to owe me a steak dinner, okay? Same for you ACW, you're a cool guy and I know you're still in school so when George knocks Jimmy out, a public acknowledgement that I was right will suffice. Anybody else want to sign their name and give their opinion on the fight? My hope is that everyone picks Lange and then maybe he will grow a set and sign his name on the dotted line and this fight can actually happen. As far as Sigmon is concerned, we have someone already and we'll make that public in a few days. I know that Cujo has a hit list of guys and Ridgway is on that list eventually.

Take care,

Joe Hensley
