Wilson Campaigns for Bout Against Herbie Hide March 6!

Here's some outside the Beltway news that may eventually affect a Beltway Boxer.

There was a 12-round WBC Cruiserweight elimination bout that was slated for March 6 in Cruxhaven, Germany between former WBO Heavyweight champ Herbie Hide and top-rated contender Matt Godfrey.

However, Godfrey injured his hand in training and the bout was postponed. However, Hide plans to fight on the sixth and is looking for an opponent.

One man who is making himself very available for this bout is the Beltway's own Darnell "The Ding-A-Ling Man" Wilson. Wilson is looking to put his recent stint on "The Contender" behind him and sees this as a possible opportunity to get back into the cruiserweight mix. If Wilson gets the bout, it will be an eight-rounder instead of a 12-round eliminator.

Wilson talked to BATB about this possible bout and speaks frankly about what happened in Singapore for "The Contender.
