Russell Weighs 126 1/2 for Bout in Florida!

Capitol Heights, MD featherweight Gary Russell, Jr. and his opponent, John Wampash of Quito, Ecuador, weighed in at 126 1/2 for their four-round bout at the Bell Atlantic Center in Sunrise, FL.

This bout will be on the non-televised undercard of the Nate Campbell-Ali Funeka bout, which took an interesting turn during the weigh-in. Campbell came in three pounds overweight on his initial weigh-in and could only lose a half-pound the second time on the scales. Campbell, in essence, lost his title on the scales. The title is now vacant and only Funeka has a shot at winning the title tomorrow night.

UPDATE: Apparently, Bayan Jargal is no longer on the November 14 card in Reno, NV. Looks like his scheduled opponent backed out.
