Nice debut. A few things Russell could work on, but kid's got POWER. And credit to Reyes for not quitting after the knockdown.

the kid looked good !!! he seemed to settle down late in the second round and put his punches together a little better. can't wait to see him after about 10 fights, by then he will have settled in as a pro.

he should be holding a belt in a few years.

once the competition gets stiffer, he will realize that he has to use his jab more.

Technique will get worked on, but he's starting with poise and patience. Great job G. I saw my man Mosquera in the corner too. For those of you that don't know, he's Shawn Estrada's coach and has one of the best reps in amateur boxing and is from East L.A. He's close with the Russells.

Good job Lil G. We proud of you

smooth debut, you made some mistakes that cause you to get caught in the first round and buckled your knees but you held it together. if you hadn't caught Reyes with his mouth open it could of went the distance and then to a decision. you had the experience over Reyes almost 200 fights to his 28.
fighters you gotta keep your jaws braced during a fight or then there's no support when you get hit and it breaks. Reyes came out in the 3rd and fought with a broken jaw.gotta give the kid credit he didn't quit like the other fighters.
