Anyone that follows amateur boxing in the DC area can look at this list and see this has to be one of the strongest Silver Gloves Teams that we've sent to the Regionals. Out of the 31 boxers, I count:

1 National JO Champions
1 National PAL Champions
5 National Silver Gloves Champions
14 Ringside World Champions

These are just off the top of my head. . .Sometimes are best boxers knock each other off before we get to the Regionals, but this is a strong team.

I also see 3 Jr. National Golden Glove Champions
9 Title Tournamant Champions

U might be right-best team ever!

This was one of the best boxing shows I seen in along time

Hey guys to tell the truth every body looked great but I didn't expect Demond Nicholson to look that good against Robert KC Clark he bruised KC up and alot more man this kid is important o yeah he won the PALS to

Anonymous said...

You are exactly right! Demond Nicholson is the real deal. He beat the living daylights out of Robert Clark, who according to Demond's coach/dad is really 17 and should not be even boxing in the Silver Gloves Tournament. Coach/Dad has said he gets the best sparring ever from Thomas Williams and it is Demond who always comes out on top. Demond is the best thing we got going into the 2012 Olympics. Right now he is unbeatable.

Nicholson can whip anyone around right now from 147 to 201. He has came along way and he is on top of his game. I seen him get stopped 4 times by Chris (Rock) Warden but those days are long gone. We have a future world champ right here in out back yard.

r u freakin nuts? Nicholson cannot hang in the with thomas Williams. u can believe his dad if u want to, but this kid will waste his money going to Augusta. Ga or Missouri. u better stop pumping this kid up, he is going to get his heart broke. sure he might end up being a decent boxer but talking about 2012 already, u have lost your mind. in fact, according to his book he has won 4 bouts out of 37 and he was RSC (stopped) 19 times. u better wake up! damn shame u started all this bullshit cuz the kid is a straight A student and he attends school with my younger brother. very good kid.

Anonymous said...

i thought he won 7 bouts out of 37. i also know he was stopped plenty of times but it was a bad call. he was not really hurt, he boxes like a pro-thats all. he is going to be just fine.

Anonymous said...

please do not hold anything against the kid because of his dad's retarded remarks. The kid is truly a good person.

Anonymous said...

he fought 1 time in the pals> give me a damn break.

Anonymous said...

I actually thought the other boxer won at Rosecroft.
Demond fought scared and ran for 3 rounds. The other kid won the Silver Glove Nationals 2 years in a row. Henson should send him again instead.

Robert Clark is not 17. That coach always says shit like that. Always crying about an age or weight.
I just looked at his book and Robert Clark was born
3-17-95 However, when they stood next to eachother in the ring Clark looked so much bigger. It was obvious who was the stronger of the two, but Demond did box pretty damn good.

How did Demond box both brothers when their ages are more than 2 years apart? The old brother stopped Demond 4 times, but I bet that would have never happened if they were the same age. Demond is rated number 1 in the world right now.

Anonymous said...

How in the hell is he rated and he fought in the Pal's one time and he has a record of 4 wins 34 losses and has been stopped 19 times. You people say some of the dumbest bullshit I have ever heard. He has never won the Silvers, the Golden Gloves, Ringside Worlds, JO's, USA Boxing. He won the pal with one fight because there were no other fat kids to box. You guys better wake up and smell the Starbucks. You are really making a fool out of yourself. Kid may turn out to be something but you guys act like you got the next Ali on your hands. Ronad Gibbs would have demolished him in the first round.

OK BIG MOUTH> LETS SEE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY WHEN HE WINS THE SILVER GLOVE NATIONALS!!!!!

Anonymous said...

u r pipe dreaming. the odds are a million to 1

Yaw should be ashamed of your selves for talking kids like this like we dont get on here either I dont care ima cuss FUCK all yaw who dont believe me and do SPAR THOMAS WILLIAMS nigga who ever siad i didnt

First of all, I know that is not Demond talking. He would never use such language. He is an extremely well behaved young man. Yes I hear all the stories concerning his parents, but Demond carries himself completely different. I'm proud just to know him...
I hope he does well in the Silvers.

All Publicity Stunts! Nicholson you aint slick!

I posted the second comment and Demond definitely was one that I counted as a national champion. I also don't think the post above is from him, but he definitely showed his skills this weekend against Casey, who won the National Silvers last against a very good boxer from Kronk that I know also. Say what you will, but Demond is the best in DC - anyone had their chance to prove otherwise this weekend. Good luck to him and the other boxers down in North Carolina.

Also, Casey is not 17 - he just looks it.

best in dc. he is the best in the damn usa. he won the pal this year. right now-he cants be beat.

Go to you tube and enter Demond Vs Daquan silver gloves. you will the see his last 3 fights from oldest to newsest. demond did win the last one but lost the other two. He has came along way in less than a year. He knows how to survive, can really use the ring good.

This really is Demond Nicholson I am going to do good no matter what these people say.

You people cannot hurt me i'm a fighter and im going to fight whoever steps in the ring.
That's all i got's to say thank you for all the people who supported me.

Demond you are such a good boxer with a great personality, but just read all the comments and I am starting to beleive that was really you cursing and acting like a spoiled brat. I am surprised. You had me fooled. Please get back on track, you do not need to act like that in order to be a good boxer. My aunt has always said you were a nice young man, she too would be surprised to hear the language you are using. Our parents are not always role models. Please get back to the Demond we all knew. We brag about you at Laurel mall. Dont let us down. Being a decent human means more than boxing ever will. Amazes me to hear you talk negative about other boxers you have fought when they may have never said a bad thing about you.
I seen the tape where the coach of Robert was telling him that he lost at Rosecroft and the boxer is clearly admitting it. In fact, I hear on the tape where Robert is telling his coach that you sure gotten much better than before. I also see where the lady drinking is screaming and cursing while you are boxing. Do you need to be an enemy of people you box? I do not understand. What has happen to you? Please get back to how you used to be. Please tell me that you have not been tricking us all for so long. Don't listen to the crazy stuff adults say, even if it is your parents. Parents act foolish too. You are doing great with boxing; do not
make enemies. Just read where you said you beat the hell out of Robert. Now why say something like that. It sounds terrible. The same kid you are saying that you beat the hell out of is telling his brother that he hopes you win it all. Said if he had to lose, he wants to lose to the champ...

Anonymous said...

that was the best and truthful comment i have read yet.
demond, u should pay attention to that one.
good luck young man.

REMEMBER PEOPLE-THAT MIGHT NOT BE DEMOND ACTING LIKE THAT. PARENTS YES, DEMOND, I DONT THINK SO>>>>>>>>>>

Good, bad, upset or happy, 29 comments on the Silver Gloves and a great turnout with good competition and one of the strongest teams to go to the regionals, This is good stuff.
Amatuer Boxing is alive and kicking in MD & DC. Kuddos to all the coaches that run the programs, put in all the time and help so many kids.

PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS IS THE INTERNET. I COULD COME ON HERE AND SAY I WAS ANYONE - DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT YOU READ OR AT LEAST TAKE IT FOR WHAT IT IS - JUST WORDS FROM ANONYMOUS POSTERS.

I know Demond and I'm assuming that none of the comments are him because I would hope he would just ignore it and I think he would.

Congrats to all the boxers going to NC. It's time for us to come together like we did last year and start sparring so that we can all get to Missouri. We only have a few weeks coaches and boxers. Lets get to work.
