Fight Night Card Details!

During the BATB Post-Fight Wrap-Up from the Patriot Center, we announced the card for the Thursday, November 6 Fight Night card at the Washington Hilton and Towers in Washington, DC. For those who missed it, here are some details.

Undefeated Arlington, VA welterweight Bayan Jargal will headline the show in an eight-round contest against veteran Doel Carrasquillo of Lancaster, PA. Jargal (8-0-1, five KO's) is coming off a second-round TKO over Francisco Rios Gil on September 25 in front of a nationally-televised Versus audience in San Jacinto, CA. This will be Jargal's second straight appearance at Fight Night. Carrasquillo (12-8-1, 10 KO's) lost a six-round unanimous decision to Patrick Lopez on September 5 in Atlantic City, NJ.

The co-feature will be a six-round rematch between "The Berlin Bomber" Joshua Snyder of Berlin, MD and John "No Mercy" Mackey of Montgomery, AL. The first bout was a nationally-televised ESPN2 affair on June 13 in Scranton, PA that Snyder won by a four-round majority decision. Snyder (7-3, three KO's) has not fought since the first encounter with Mackey. However, Mackey (11-1, five KO's) has fought twice since the Snyder bout, posting TKO victories over Larry Brothers and Jesse Williams.

A couple of all-Beltway encounters will round out the show. There will be a six-round light heavyweight contest between Baltimore's Henry "Hurricane" Mayes and Takoma Park, MD's Willis "The Prophet" Lockett. Mayes (7-6-2, four KO's) battled Willie Williams to a six-round draw on October 3 in Salisbury, MD in his last outing. Lockett (10-6-5, four KO's) is also coming off a draw in his last outing -- an eight-round draw against Chuck Mussachio on September 19 in Hockessin, DE.

Also, there will be a four-round heavyweight bout between two rookies. Laurel, MD's "The Big Ticket" Dwayne McRae (1-0, one KO) will take on the debuting Kareem Wilson of DC.

How can we get tickets to that fight at the Hilton on Thursday?

Actually, the card is a charity function that has been sold out for months. It is a very expensive ticket and it is a big wig affair.
