Amateur Boxing Comes to Henderson Hall July 19!

While the pro card that was slated for Henderson Hall in Arlington, VA in June was called off, there will be an amateur card headed to that facility on Saturday, July 19.

The card will be called "July Justice," and is slated to feature some of the better boxers in the Commonwealth. The first bout on the card is scheduled to start at six PM.

In other amateur news, the Junior Olympic Nationals take place in Marquette, Michigan on June 17-21. I will let you know now that posting of results from that event here will be a little sketchy because I will be taking a short break from BATB during that week.

Also, NBC will be showing highlights from the recent USA Boxing Olympic Invitational that took place in Bridgeport, CT. The Beltway's own Gary Russell, Jr. participated in that event. The telecast will be on Saturday, June 14 at 3 PM ET with Bob Papa and Teddy Atlas (NBC's Olympic Boxing announcers) calling the action.
