According to ESPN and other sources, Darnell "The Ding-A-Ling Man" Wilson will now defend his USBA Cruiserweight title against undefeated BJ Flores (20-0-1, 13 KO's) on Friday, February 8 in a nationally televised ESPN2 bout from the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino in Dover, DE.
There has been no official word on whether or not Wilson (22-5-3, 19 KO's) will also be participating in an IBF Elimination bout against Flores, but that could be a possibility now that Steve Cunningham successfully defended his IBF title against Marco Huck today in Germany.
Flores, who fights out of Willard, MO is coming off a second-round TKO over Andy Sample on October 13 in Springfield, MO.

Alright Ding... put the upstart Flores in his place! How dare they even thought of the day that they might emerge victorious against the Ding-a-ling man.

If you had to pick between a BJ and a Ding a Ling... wouldn't you go with the BJ?
Why BJ? He hasn't had any tough fights... He isn't a huge puncher, which doesn't matter aginst Ding anyway... and his chin is untested, which you don't want tested against Ding-a-ling...
Flores' pedigree and skill will put him in good stead for the first four rounds, but in the second half of the fight when he hits uncharted waters and starts making mistakes under Ding's constant pressure, he'll get nailed.
It's the underprepared upstart (experience-wise) vs the experienced puncher, at the top of his game, no less.
Flores won't make it out of the first 4 rounds. Darnell is going to take him out within 3! Great matchup for Darnell Wilson! Title shot has to be next!
