Much respect Joppy. You been around the world and have been highly successful.

Congratulations and good luck in your attempt to get 'anuva belt. Remember: jab, double jab, and one-two. That shit is so basic that nobody can stop it, especially if you use it like you did against Cherifi. Be 'the watcher' if yall go deep in rounds. I seen Whitaker switch to southpaw and k.o. a fighter in the 7th with a left hand after never showing it throughout the fight. A fight he was losing unanimously.

Slaps ahoy!

Joppy is sparring with top notch fighters like Richard McCombs & John Smith He is looking to get his ass whooped.

I have never seen so much hating in any Boxing city around the country. Joppy has accomplished more as three time World Champion than any other fighter in this area, instead of be a support system like Jimmy Lange has in Virginia, Joey Gamache had in Maine, Jermaine Taylor in Arkansas,or Kelly Pavlik has in Youngstown, we have to listen to all the underachievers who have never accomplished anything ,but love to be critical of others ,well these haters probably have never been to a world title fight and don't have a clue much props Joppy keep on to another World Title.

First of all, boxing never left DC. Secondly, with the exception of Lange, Gamache, Taylor and Pavlik all come from areas where boxing is not as consistent. Therefore, when one person breaks out, it's easy to rally around them.

Youngstown is slightly different because there have been some great boxer that have come out of there, but not with the volume that DC has had. Youngstown can't say they have had four world champions at the same time. The DC-area can say that and may be able to say it again by this time next year.

There is too much hating. That is true. We should definitely try to rally around all of our Beltway Boxers!

Amen! Great boxers, questionable fans. Let's rally around our guys. This BS was going on well before this blog existed.

True Digital.

Digital, do you think the next 4 DC-area champs are Darnell, Tiger, and the Petersons?

They are our best hopes at the moment!

Hell, dare we even dream of 5 simultaneous world champs? I'm sure Eric Aiken's looking to get back in the title picture.
