Great Boxing Music Video!

A rare change of pace. I came across one of my favorite movie scenes about boxing. The following is from the 1976 all-kids, 1930's gangster-era comedy-musical "Bugsy Malone." The movie starred Scott Baio and Jodie Foster.

At this point in the movie, Bugsy (Baio's character) has a bodyguard named Leroy (played by Paul Murphy) who packs a solid punch. Bugsy wants Leroy to try boxing so Bugsy can manage him. They go to Slugger's Gym to see if Leroy really has what it takes.

The song is called "So You Want to be a Boxer?" The song was written by Paul Williams. Enjoy!

Digital,

I love it! I love the line that says:

"YOU MIGHT AS WELL QUIT IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT IT!"

Amen to that brother!

No, Paul Williams the diminutive songwriter who was around before "The Punisher" was even born.
