Coleman, Brown, Champion Win at Rosecroft!

Undefeated Beltway Boxers Tim Coleman and "Big" Phill Brown kept their spotless records intact with tough victories in front a nice crowd at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD.

Coleman, the welterweight from Baltimore, won a tough six-round unanimous decision over Carlos "El Perro" Cisneros, who now fights out of Riverdale, MD. Coleman is now 10-0, two KO's while Cisneros falls to 8-15-1, five KO's.

Brown, the heavyweight from Upper Marlboro, survived two low blows from his opponent -- Jamal Terry of Wilmington, DE -- to stop Terry in the third round. Brown is 6-0, three KO's while Terry -- in his first bout since 2003, falls to 3-6, two KO's.

Also on the card, Suitland, MD junior middleweight Jayson Champion put on a scintillating performance using strong body shots to stop Kenny Meeks, a DC native now living in Sharpsburg, NC at 1:43 of the first round. Champion broke a two-fight losing streak with the victory and he is now 4-3, three KO's. Meeks is 1-2, one KO.

Other bouts on the card saw undefeated junior lightweight Carney "Beeper" Bowman of York, PA win a four-round unanimous decision over Muhammad Yamin of Qatar. Bowman is 7-0, three KO's while Yamin is 7-16-1, three KO's.

West Islip, NY heavyweight Darrel "King David" Madison stopped Kevin Thompson of Clinton, NC in the first round to raise his record to 4-1, three KO's. Thompson falls to 2-4, two KO's.

There was also a spirited exhibition bout between Demetrius Davis and Scott "Duke" Buchanan.

Here is the Post-Fight Wrap-Up show which also includes some breaking news involving the upcoming matchup between USBA Cruiserweight champ Emmanuel Nwodo and Darnell Wilson.

what about Keith Holmes or Mighty Mouse or even Toosharp. I would love to see fighters come back for one last fight or a farewell fight so that they can go out on top and give the fans a show. Cheap tickets none over $75. What your think about that

It would be nice for everyone but the promoter. Can you say RED INK? How about BURNING MONEY?

How about matching all the promoters in the area against each other? Then the matchmakers. It could be money they give to charity. Josh Hall vs Chris M., Scott Wagner vs Cassandra White, and the others ones as well. Or Jake vs Scott. I would go to this car for sure.

The next event at Rosecroft is scheduled for August 3rd. The execs at Rosecroft were very pleased with the turnout and excited for the next event. It was a good card and they will only continue to get better.

Rosecroft was a great venue for the fight. The accomodations were 1st class, dinner if you wanted it, reasonble prices and the round card girls blessed us with sights. Some OK fights, a few good fights and a great fight from Coleman & Cisneros. Rosecroft says they'll do it again on August 3 - I'll be there.
