Seldon looked like a beast and could possibly work himself back into contention, believe it or not. He is clearly better than Oliver McCall at this point. He weighed in at a ready 230 pounds, over 30 pounds less than he was during his bouts in 2005 and 6 pounds lighter than when he won the title in 1995!Reggie Sanders beat espinosa and got robbed. Robles earned a hard fought win over Lenzie Morgan in a good learning experience. Ibn Ali showed some power but needs to sharpen up his defense. Perry Ballard keeps on mowing down the opposition, just hope his loss to Jimmy Lange doesn't prevent him from fighting the mayweather-delahoya winner! just kidding, perry looked pretty good tho. Kay Koroma scored a devastating KO.

Of all of fights in Winchester, VA on this card, what fight actually brought the fans to their feet? I heard there were a couple of fights worthy of some mention. I was not there but, would like to know how the good fights actually turned out?

It was a good show. I too thought Reggie Sanders won the fight against Espinosa. At the very worst it should have been a draw for Sanders. Sanders dropped Espinosa in the bout. JC Superstar had a really tough fight on his hands with Lenzie Morgan. Robles just outworked Morgan but when Lenzie kept that jab in his face it was a different fight. This kid is fun to watch and I haven't seen him in a bad fight yet. For all of you who love to see KO's (I for one am not really one of those. That is unless I really don't care for the guy) saw one of the most devastating KO's you will ever see when Kay Koroma crushed one of the Ohio Players (Fire! Digital knows what I mean, all you young bucks, step off!) who had no experience and got crushed. Ali's fight was fun to watch, but he has a long way to go. He does look an awful lot like his uncle though. The guy Perry Ballard fought really isn't cut out to be a boxer. Travis Clayborn (is that his name?) his punches were as soft as a child, and his chin was made of the finest of china. Not a good combination if you want to be a fighter. I remember when Jimmy Lange fought the kid years ago and Lange knocked him out in like 20 seconds. Pretty amazing that Perry Ballard has a great record like he has (I'll keep it positive). You know something? The Bruce Seldon fight with Jay Sweetman was really entertaining! Bruce looked like The Hulk. He's huge! Jay Sweetman looked like a cartoon characther. Short, fat, and old. But Jay Sweetman could punch, and Bruce Seldon knows Jay Sweetman can punch! Seldon clearly won the first round but Sweetman got Seldon's attention on at least 3 occassions with some very hard shots! You can never judge a book by it's cover. That guy Sweetman would knock out a lot of lower level guys. Bruce was clearly on another level and when he got down to business he put his punches together very nicely and did what he was supposed to do.

I too thought that Reggie Sanders won the fight. As for Robles, this was much better than his last fight which was a joke. Did you see Robles eye after this fight? Regardless of wins and losses I feel that one of the most entertaining fights was Clybourn and Ballard. Billy D says it like Clybourn is a joke but he has fought the whos whos of the boxing world (although not very well he did have some boxing skills avoiding Ballard's bombs away boxing style). It did look as if Clybourn's nose was broken! I don't think Ballard's loss to Lange will prevent him from taking any fight. In the past I heard on Elliot that Ballard has tried to get a rematch with Lange and even went as far as placing an ad in a Va paper. As for Seldon, he has a lot of demons that he needs to get rid of( we won't mention it here). When he does he could be a new force in the heavyweight division even at 40 plus. It was a great event, the food was excellent, and I will definitely go to a Best Western card again! It was well worth the drive!
