Amateur Boxing Tournament at SRL Center December 15-16!

DC Boxing legend Julius "Juice" Gatling is presenting an amateur boxing tournament on Friday and Saturday, December 15th & 16th at the Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center 7707 Barlowe Road in Palmer Park, MD.

Friday's action begins at 7:30 pm and Saturday's card starts at 7 pm.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. For more information, call (240) 353-0564.

If you want to box in the tournament, call for an application and then fax the application to 301-292-4618.

Because he has given a lot of his time and effort over the years to the development of boxing in this area.

cassandra said that she gave juice $700 to give one of the boxers from Kentucky. Later on she found out that Juice only gave the boxer $400 Atleast Juice did not write the kid a bad check.

Most of yall hearts are filled with jealousy & envy
Man yall try to break down anybody
First it was chris , Then Sugar Poo , then Sugar ray damn what did he do to yawl he is a legend he is in dc boxing hall of fame and also the international boxing hall of fame most of yawl here will never be in either one and thats the truth

Man Do u have any respect for any boxer or anybody in this area that deals with boxing
Most of yawl haven't done a damn thing to help any boxers in this area but get them locked up or say bad things about them
for once in yawl worthless lives try to help build something instead of destroying it
In most of yawl wonder why the peterson brothers won't fight and train here most of the time just look at the stupid things we do to fighters

What you say is true. The point of this blog is and should be to build up the boxers in this area.

However, there are people who have grudges and are using this space to air them out, albeit anonymously. For whatever reason, they don't have the guts to put a name behind their comments.

Unfortunately, unless the comments are too hateful or explicit, they do have a right to give their opinion.

This is why I created the Year-End Excellence Awards -- to give Beltway Boxing Fans an opportunity to give honor to our boxers for the positive things they have done this year.

Unfortunately, very few people are voting. So when the results come out early next year, I don't want to hear any crying or moaning about them. You all had your opportunity and you blew it. You have until December 29 to vote.

atournament at srl consists of a late start,terrible refs,worse judges, oh yeah i forgot thats all potomac valley shows, and most south atlantic
