Coleman Remains Undefeated on Philly Card!

Laurel, MD welterweight Tim Coleman kept his undefeated string alive with a four-round unanimous decision victory over Marquis McConnell last night at the Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia.

According to Fightnews.com's Kurt Wolfheimer, Coleman overpowered the outclassed McConnell of York, South Carolina with his power and hand speed, taking all four rounds on every judge's scorecards to move to 4-0 with one KO. Coleman is scheduled to appear on cards in Pikesville on April 21 and Glen Burnie on May 4.

Also on the card, veteran Baltimore junior welterweight Mike McFail lost a four-round unanimous decision to undefeated (3-0) William "Bobcat" Boggs of Philadelphia. Wolfheimer reports that the 18-year-old Boggs threw many combinations at McFail early, but tired late in the final round. McFail actually began to work in round four and threw a couple nice uppercuts that had Boggs badly hurt but the bell sounded before he could take advantage of the situation. The fight went to the scorecards with Boggs winning on two scorecards 39-37 while the third judge had 40-36. McFail is now 12-29-1, four KO's.
